Kei glances through the text again to confirm that, but suddenly remembers to ask Ms Fushimi something.
"Ms Fushimi, are there any specific things we should focus on in our analysis?"

"Yeah, no. I'm bored!"

"I think I gathered that from your utter hatred of this work. I'm bored too, y'know."
Haruka sighs.
"I wish this school did Music classes."

Haruka slumps back in her chair.

Kei turns back to the group. "So, uh. We know it's a story about a group of people, including one guy who made a… kantele, whatever that is, from a fish. Maybe it's a magic fish, and he wanted to preserve its magic?"

"Yes, it could be. But do we have proof? Is there anything in the text which indicates thus?"

"That fits in with what I said earlier,  although I wasn't being serious. So if we take the fish as representing someone's problems, what can we derive from the rest of the text?"
Haruka was fairly impressed by the logic in the boy's statement. It was almost poetic. It also made her feel guilty, as he hadn't complained once.

"Well, there doesn't seem to be any further description of the fish, so I can't tell if it was magical or not.
I think Ryu has a good point, we should proceed from there - I think, if the fish represents a problem, then it would logically follow that the text either suggests ways of overcoming problems, or how the problem arose in the first place. From the passage here, I think it's the former, since we are told how they kill the fish; and as a side note, we also see that teamwork is hinted to be the best way to overcome a problem."
Kei rubs his temples. Mental gymnastics this early in the morning is hard.
