"Of course. One cannot simply give up because life has decided to deal them a bad hand." Rin says, nodding slowly and understanding what Katarina means.

"That assumes life has dealt them a hand in the first place, and not instead drowned them and waiting to see how long they can hold their breath. I have watched my life leak from my body before, and I do not stop it."

"That would be a shame if you were to simply waste away." Rin says, taking a sip of his tea.
"People would mourn your loss."

"My family sent me here so they may ignore me, and not show me at their more public functions. They saw me as a disappointment, and so no loss of love will be there. I doubt there'd even be a funeral with their focus on raising my Brother's future."

"Then I, at the very least, will mourn you.

Even if that's little comfort coming from a complete stranger."

"You assume correctly, as I feel beyond comfort at this point. Even the nurses have lost their appreciation when it comes to my life at the least."

Kiyumi walks over to the track where Yumi is, dressed in black shorts. She pulls out a note and reads it, then looking at Yui and bowing.
 "I-I'm Kiyumi. Are you Yui-senpai?"

"That as well remains to be seen." Katarina goes back to staring out the window, wondering at the texture of the brick outside and whether a simple scrape would bleed, though it would likely be quite painful.
