Anita walks out of the line with Akemi so the next people can go. She then carefully feels her key and says the dorm number.

"3-3? Oh, that's cool! I'm right next door!"

"Oh, thats nice. Perhaps I will find my room mate there as well." Anita gives a grateful smile in Akemi's direction and holds her hand lightly so they can go to their rooms.

Kyo smiles at Madoka. "Well, nice to meetcha Madoka! My name's Kyo, surname Nakahara."
Yu had taken her sweet time to actually get into line, but now she was at the front of the line. Yu reached out for her dorm assignment, then suddenly stopping and whipping her hand to the inside of her windbreaker, hand reappearing with a tissue which she whipped to her mouth just in time-- as she then launched into a coughing fit, violent and rather wet-sounding coughs racking her body for a few seconds.

The man deftly pulls out a file, looking up Yu's condition, and blinks.
"The infirmary is just down the corridor, where Nurse Hirasawa should be on duty, if you need it."
"Yay! I met another person!" Madoka cheers, before doing a little salute.
"Peeeeerfection!"

David goes to get his room assignment and key.

Anita, presumably with Akemi, arrives at their little living area (Likely couches, chairs, and a spare book case and desks) and carefully sits down on a chair, glad to have a much smaller area to memorize for now.

He can't. The dorm rooms are locked without a key to enter them.

Coincidentally, there are about five hundred signs pointing to the antechamber of the building saying "Dorm Assignments and Keys This Way".

David goes to get his room assignment and key.

David is assigned the Boy's Wing Dorm 3-3, in the opposite building from the Girls' Wing, with a 'Kyo Nakahara' assigned to be his roommate.
Akemi whistles.

The dorm also has a television, of course, and a fridge and microwave oven upon a cheap marble counter.
"This dorm looks sweeeet."

He follows the signs, and tries to snatch a lone key.

The man at the dorm assignment counter, however, is faster, and presumably has dealt with idiots trying to pull the same shit before.

 He quickly pulls the key back and shoves the dorm assignment and a different key into his hands.
"Boy's Wing Room 3-3. And we know who's supposed to be in what room."

Kiba nods to the man, and heads back to the dorm. He enters the room, notepad in hand.

Yu, now finished coughing, wings the tissue into a nearby trashcan. Now visibly in a slightly more annoyed mood than before, she waved the concern off. "Bah. If I had to go to the infirmary every time I coughed, I'd live there. Can I get my dorm room assignment now?"
Kyo couldn't help but grin at that and return the little salute, though they reached the signs pointing to their destination around that time.
"Oh, is this where we're supposed to be?"
