David steps out with the homeroom teacher.

Kei looks to whoever's sitting next to him in Phys Ed. "Wanna get started on this assignment pronto?"
Meanwhile in Physics, Suzu is still doodling in between taking notes. She did notice the little interruptions during the lesson.

The moment David leaves the room, Akemi surreptitiously looks through what he was actually writing.
"I never know what he actually writes....I just want to know this once. Then I'll never look again." She mutters to reassure herself...
Ms. Fushimi smiles at David.
"Mister Bradley, how are your grades?"

"They're fine, as far as I'm aware. Why?"
Akemi finds a lengthy page or so of a handwritten log. The handwriting is sloppy, and darkly marked on the page, as if he was just trying to get something out.

Log 23

Life is an interesting thing. There are several beautiful aspects but… in times where the balance of good and bad is at an equilibrium, the bad seems to overcast the good completely, in my case. My mind is fogged by the effects of depression, though I try to smile, it doesn't always work... This faked happiness. I wonder why for me, the bad overshadows the good. Perhaps this is true for other people? Or is it because I’ve always had a problem with depression? I don’t know the answers that I seek. Perhaps one day, I’ll find the answers. Such as why I am cursed with what I have. Why me of all people? Depression is one of my most prominent traits here at this school, but why? I get it, this place is for people who are sick, but I want to be known for my better qualities. My musical abilities. Though, even through the darkness that overcasts my happiness, one light burns bright. That’s Madoka. She is in the light at the end of the tunnel. I can’t help but love her for it. Both as a friend, and as a potential significant other, I love her. Though it puzzles me… she acts as if she likes me as well, but she’s denying it. Perhaps for another guy. I get it, though. She might see me as a brother, which is fine. Whatever makes her happy in the end. That’s what matters with my love for her. I just want to see her happy, but I really want to be something that causes that happiness for the rest of her life.

This is why life is interesting… it gives me overwhelming depression, but it also gives me someone who makes me overjoyed for every day. It contradicts itself. Maybe I’ll write more on this later, but I should pay attention to the Physics classwork.

"I'd like to offer you a chance to go to a class that improves upon your current grades."
Akemi sighs, before shutting the book.
"Dammit...well, I can't tell Madoka-chan about this, because then David will know I read it....damn it. This was a worthless endeavour."

"I don't exactly think that'd be necessary... I'm a top of my class student... _{or supposed to be anyway...}"
David looks towards the ground, scratching the back of his head.

"I mean a class that is more suited to your talents. You will have to sit a separate exam for this class, but it will help you to get into good universities."
