It's just a gentle squeeze, and Suzu lets go quickly, not wanting to make things more awkward for anyone.

Suzume shakes her head dismissively, the corners of her mouth hinting at a smile briefly before she shows her answers to the teacher.

Well, as you can tell, I'm mute. I wasn't born with it. I come from a small rural village in Northern Japan. My father is half American and my mother is full Japanese. I've been running all my life, and I'm apparently the star of the track team. Um... I like music, a lot and I sorta play the bass guitar. Anything else I should touch on?
