Kyo's mother turns, surprised-- and not carrying anything, probably because the cafe is all but deserted at the moment.
"Mrrh-- Oh, Kyo!"
She envelops her son in a hug before noticing his companion.

"Ohhh? Who's this?"

Madoka waves.
"I'm Kikuchi Madoka! You must be Kyo's mom!"

"It's nice to meet you, Miss Madoka, and yes I am! You didn't tell me you had a girlfriend, Kyo!"

"Uhm."

Madoka tilts her head.
"Whaaa?!"

She smiles conspiratorially at her son, and whispers to him:
"Oooooooo, not yet, huh? Well, work on it! You can do it."

"U-uuuhm."

"W-we're just friends!"

Kyo's mother grins at Kyo.
"Ssssure!"

Kyo chuckles a little nervously as she turns to him and winks.

He turns to Madoka.
"...she can be a bit much at times, heh."

Madoka blushes.
"I mean, n-not that you'd be a bad boyfriend, b-but we're not in a relationship!"

"Er-um, I didn't say..."

Apparently having had her fun, Kyo's mother sighs somewhat and then grins unrepentantly.
"Well, I'm gonna go backstore, and leave you two alone for a little bit!"
