He shakes his head.
"Thanks for showing me here."

"Okay. Do you want me to keep you company? While you wait, that is."

Jun shrugs.

Tod looks around then signals for Yui to follow him out of the room.

[USEC_OFFICER]

"In that case I'll see you in class," Tomomi replies before heading back.

[SOLDIER First]

no that was an "okay, if u want" shrug

Yui follows curiously.

Tod leads her to the track area, and hands her a pair of shorts. "I challenge you to a sprint. Since you currently have your uniform on, I wouldn't want any free panty shots, so put on those shorts and get ready."

Yui rolls her eyes, going behind a tree to put on the shorts, and taking off the skirt. She comes back around.

"....a balance that cannot ever be maintained. Pain cannot always be returned with more pain- that is how vicious cycles start.

My grandfather, before he passed away, you see...he always told me his principles. He lived by principles that he had built up for his lifetime, some that I chose to live by myself. One principle he lived by, a principle I choose to live by, is that to cause another man despair is to lose one part of oneself. I had to ask him what he meant.

He told me that once, he knew a pair of neighbours who once tolerated, but now hated each other, and so one man would always stick tacks in the other's food, and the other would set bees on the former.

Causing pain in retribution to pain only caused the other to cause more, in the hope that one would never attempt it again. Consumed by the desperation to return the affront, both were eventually consumed only by the desire for revenge. They lost everything else, in an attempt to 'balance' out the pain they suffered. It never really balanced out, of course- one man would always increase the pain he gave to make it seem as if all was balanced.

Do as you please, Uzichi-san, but I implore you not to ask me to go against my principles."

"Never ask a man to change from a good path. You may be kind, but I am not, and therefore will not be likely to follow as you say. Besides," She states as she glances back at her carving. "When you only have 1 part of yourself left, there isn't anything left to lose."

Tod is already brandishing is own shorts and is currently stretching out. "I think you are underestimating me. I may be big, but I certainly am not slow."
