Kyle smirks at Miho. It's infuriating.

"It would be satisfying atleast, to see the pain in their eyes that you felt in your own at the time? Genetics may be to blame, but there was some joy found initially for when I could humiliate my parents for their ignorance and hatred of me."

"C-complimenting me isn't going to get you anywhere. Idiot."
Rin looks confused.
"Satisfying? How can inflicting pain on someone else satisfy someone?"

"A sense of balance. They hurt you, you return the 'favor' with interest. They treated me as something less than human, I walk into their banquets full of high class people who think they've never had a child and then slice my hand and bleed around them, showing the dirty secret they hide like the rest of their lies." Shes quite matter of fact in the way she states this.

Jun looks surprised.
"Really? _Uh.. I mean, thanks, I guess."

He then re-checks what the label says.
"Either way, I really like it. I got it a couple years ago or something, over in Kyoto.
But... sure, you can try it on. Don't fall into an inconveniently placed mud puddle or something."

Jun removes the jacket to reveal a remarkably un-street thug-esque shirt underneath, although it isn't the uniform's shirt.

"....a balance that cannot ever be maintained. Pain cannot always be returned with more pain- that is how vicious cycles start.

My grandfather, before he passed away, you see...he always told me his principles. He lived by principles that he had built up for his lifetime, some that I chose to live by myself. One principle he lived by, a principle I choose to live by, is that to cause another man despair is to lose one part of oneself. I had to ask him what he meant.

He told me that once, he knew a pair of neighbours who once tolerated, but now hated each other, and so one man would always stick tacks in the other's food, and the other would set bees on the former.

Causing pain in retribution to pain only caused the other to cause more, in the hope that one would never attempt it again. Consumed by the desperation to return the affront, both were eventually consumed only by the desire for revenge. They lost everything else, in an attempt to 'balance' out the pain they suffered. It never really balanced out, of course- one man would always increase the pain he gave to make it seem as if all was balanced.

Yui walks off alone, since she is introverted and has no friends. ((bit blunt there))

She might run into a big, thug-looking guy.

She stops dead and apologizes to him.

The boy turns around, looking down at her. He sighs.
"Sheesh, quit apologising already. It was just a little bump, I'm not gonna hurt ya."

Kyle continues to smirk.
"Aw, tough luck for me then. But, I suppose if I didn't keep at it that would just make me a quitter."

Tomomi chuckles at Jun's surprise, though not in a mean-spirited way. "What's the matter? Hasn't anybody paid you a complement before?" she asks jokingly as she removes her own jacket. She isn't wearing her uniform's shirt either, but you would be forgiven if you didn't notice that at first. She puts on Jun's jacket and asks, "Well? How does it look?" Unfortunately it is a men's jacket, so it isn't shaped to fit someone of Tomomi's proportions well. But she still looks pretty good in it never the less.

[SOLDIER First]

"Well, yeah, but... _um.. Never mind."

He steps back slightly and does that square picture-frame thing people do with their fingers.
"You look great, but it's kind of big."

Kyle continues to smirk.
"Aw, tough luck for me then. But, I suppose if I didn't keep at it that would just make me a quitter."
