ok, turn over. i played a
righteous crusader by the name of Ametha Toneshores. i didn't accomplished much, but by God that was fun
Ametha Toneshores was a wrestler of unknown parentage. Possessing great strength and agility, he was an excellent brawler, yet a poor soldier. Ametha was dead set on subjugating the human colonies on the sea in the name of the Obeisant Orange. Finally, in the year 51 he had his chance. Using the murder of the queen as a pretext, Ametha travelled to the hamlet of Tradegangs to demand the subjugation of the human populace. The arrogant lord refused, so with great grief in his heart Ametha was forced to kill him. The he spotted his wife, still sleeping in her bed. She was a threat, so he lifted his spear and tore her throat. As she chocked in her blood, Ametha finally stated his claim on behalf of The Buck Of Rewarding (a group he had just founded and consisted of only him). Soon after she was dead. Ametha was now a lord.
Not content with just one holding, Ametha planned to hand over Tradegangs to an elf and move on to his next target. So he returned to the retreat, only to be treated like a lowlife adventurer who had murdered an innocent couple in their beds. Disappointed, Ametha returned to Tradegangs. He would rule the coast, even if he had to do it by himself.
When he returned, he learned that in his absence the humans had elected new rulers. Furious by this treason, Ametha killed the couple and a bystander who decided to be a hero. Then he learned of another self proclaimed lord. While searching for the contender, he met another wrestler by the name of Apug Drilledrummed. Although he was a human, Ametha liked the warrior enough to proclaim his a hearthperson and offered him a place by his side. Apug accepted, and the two left together to track down the contenders.
Eventually, Ametha found them both. The man was the first to fall, but not before wounding Ametha enough to cripple his left hand. The wife was next. However, Apug decided he had enough. He proclaimed Ametha a tyrant and spat on his would. Ametha was furious. He grabbed his bronze pick and proceeded to kill his former companion.
Alone again and with the people of Tradegangs too afraid to question their ruler, Ametha planned his next move. He learned of another hamlet named Regalperplexed in the north. Ametha was dead set on adding this hamlet to his list of conquests. The next day, he travelled there and entered the mead hall. He was met by the local ruler. The lord, having heard of Ametha's exploits, stepped back as Ametha delivered his ultimatum: serve him and live, or resist and perish. The lady then drew her daggers and the two combated. Ametha, though wounded and tired, was victorious at the end. He then turned to the former lord, which fled the town. Ametha was the victor by default and therefore the new lord of Regalperplexed.
But the lord of Regalperplexed was not done yet. Vowing revenge against the man that killed his wife, he mustered the villagers against him. As he walked through the streets of Regalperplexed looking for worthy successors of potential threats to wipe out, Ametha heard the familiar sound of a human dagger being drawn. But when he turned, the offender was already fleeing. He pursued this would-be assassin, when he felt a pair of claws gouging his leg. Ametha turned and looked at a cat (a recruit, no less).
He sighed and drew his pick. He tried to strike the cat down, but the cat was quicker. She lounged at Ametha's body and clawed his chest. Ametha started having trouble breathing. He roared, grabbed the cat and threw her down. He then struck her with his pick, cutting off her tail and her leg. The cat managed to would him once more in the leg, severing an artery before passing out from the pain. Ametha then finished the cat off and made his escaped from the town, which by this point was in open rebellion. He wanted to return to Tradegangs to regain his power and then return and avenge the local humans for this humiliation.
He was never sighted again
Nobody knows how Ametha died. Some say the ghosts of his victims returned and dragged him down to hell. Others say he fell victim to bandits or Bogeymen. Still some insist that Ametha never died and will one day return to have his vengeance on Regalperplexed.
