(Right now it's inexplicity, you don't know if it's inextricably until you test that.)

((Ah, okay.))
"I'm good, don't mind me.  Simply, eh... looking for pre-match frozen fish treats.  Want some?"  Khaal asked, likely completely inaudibly.

Are there, by any chance, actual frozen fish treats in the floe?  That would be neat.  Definitely get some, if there are.  In any case, try and get unstuck.

Hm! Why is this chamber cramped? Is it full of stuff or something? Or is it just an oppressive feeling? Perhaps the walls are too close together?

Check out the altar. Let my eyes adapt to the darkness.

Drak looked around for a moment, then struggled against his bindings for a couple seconds.  "It is complete.  I must speak with the elders about what I saw."

((Assuming there's some sort of elder-based governance here; if I am incorrect, just assume that said otherwise))

As a matter of fact, you can see a couple of frozen fish in the floe.  Right near you to boot.  A shame you can't get to them with your head stuck in the ice.  Speaking of that, you brace yourself with your left leg and try to pull your head out.. successfully, except you now have your leg stuck instead of your head.

The seal is still watching.

Hm! Why is this chamber cramped? Is it full of stuff or something? Or is it just an oppressive feeling? Perhaps the walls are too close together?

Check out the altar. Let my eyes adapt to the darkness.

You reach out with your wings trying to reach the sides of the chamber, and touch both walls at the same time.  You'd say it's cramped because it is small.

Anyway, looking at the altar it's empty, but for a carved basin recessed upon it with some apricot-sized round objects in it.  They smell of rotting fruit.

Also, behind the altar is a tapestry hanging from the ceiling, with a large number of birds on it engaged in unclear behaviors.

"I guess, is it gonna hurt?"

Maybe.  You shouldn't feel anything until you go back, though.

With that, Zanda makes with the magic.

You don't feel any different, but Zanda reassures you that the job is done.. it's just that it was done to your actual body, not the one in here.

"Now, is there anything else you'd like to do here, or are you ready to go home?"

Drak looked around for a moment, then struggled against his bindings for a couple seconds.  "It is complete.  I must speak with the elders about what I saw."

Corana, who is still running the ritual, notices that you've woken up, and signals the people holding you to release you.  That done, you are lead out of the circle, still a bit unsteady from the wounds you took this morning.  You then look for the elders.. two of them are currently supporting the ritual, chanting in turn, and many of those who were at the start of the ritual are now taking breaks and eating.

You can see their leader, the chief is sitting aside, as if expecting this sort of situation.  You go over and speak to her.

"So, what happened over there, Drak?  Good to see you come back from wanting to see Drolson."  There is a shudder as she speaks.

"Good enough.  It's always nice to clear one's head with some condensed not-salt, don't you agree?  I think that I certainly think so, probably.

Anyway here we go!  For real!  You ready for the game of your life?  Or existence or godhood or whatever?"

Okay, time to "spit" like no bird has ever spit before!  That spittoon won't know what hit it.

Look behind the tapestry.

Then examine the tapestry.

Then examine the altar objects.

Drak looked away for a moment, then looked the chief in the eye.  Now was not the time for fear.

"I was able to see Drolson, who has agreed to help.  But... there is a price for the help.  Drolson... demands a sacrifice.  He said that a hero must live how others must not live.  Someone who can know fear must die by my claws if I am to be granted a boon.  I will do what I must... but I understand that this is not without issue."

Roll to Save the World. [4/4] Turn Sixteen, in which vomit remains absent.

Okay, time to "spit" like no bird has ever spit before!  That spittoon won't know what hit it.

You lean back, and feel the stuff in your craw, loading it up for expulsion.  You're ready.. and launch!

Wait.. you don't have anything in your craw.  You never had anything in your craw since you were here.

You convulse, vomit nothing, and jerk your leg around in the crack in the ice, cracking it further, and you proceed to slide down the crack, straight down the icy pit into the water at the bottom.  With a splash, you find yourself in icy water at the bottom of a tight, narrow crevice.  Oddly, you don't feel cold.

After a few moments, the seal pokes its head out far above you, and looks at you floating on the water in the bottom.

Look behind the tapestry.

Then examine the tapestry.

Then examine the altar objects.

It's fairly difficult to get the tapestry away from the wall, but eventually you manage by standing on the altar, using your beak to pull it away, and then holding it in place with your wing.  You can't check the top of it, but you see nothing but more plain stone behind the bottom of it.

Looking at the tapestry, you see images of birds engage in various activities.  Some seem like ordinary activities, like fishing, eating, playing, crafting, and flying, but you fail to notice a general theme to the images, except for that there seems to be similar fruits to what's on the altar pictured.

Looking at the objects they are roundish, about half the size of your head, and seem to be small, fermenting, fruits.

"That is pretty grave.  I will do what I can to help.  Would you like advice?  Orders?  Solitude?"

Drak nodded.  "I would seek advice, and some time to think on these events afterwards.  This must be done within three days, however."

"This is not the salted fish buffet I signed up for...  Tell you what: how about we call it a draw?  Also... you have any snacks?"

Khaal decided this was yet another opportunity to look for some floppy deliciousness.  He had come here for fish treats, and he'd be damned if he was leaving without some!

Generously offer to call it a draw.  Look around for some scaly delight.
