Awesome, savage trees.  After all, while good suggests pacifism and cooperation it doesnt strictly  demand it.  Metal Dwarven.

AFA diet
Fairies sound good, but too sentient?  Maybe just bugs or airborne pollen?

EDIT:  Charlie Brown's Kite-Eating Tree

I suppose that the occasional idiotic fairy or the occasional unlucky fairy might get themselves stuck and then eaten. Bugs and pollen are a possibility, but they'd have to consume a lot to stay alive.

There's a lot of puns that could be made here, but I don't want to egg you on.

Instead of the normal form of reproductive organs that we're used to from plants (fruit containing seeds), feather trees grow eggs. Don't ask how they're inseminated, that process has yet to be studied.

Room for an "Elves with wood" joke here?

Centration. Similar to Spacestation 13, but in 3D and first-person. Sounds damn awesome.

Perhaps I could mod the feathers to be harvested like fruit and mushed into cloth?  Would that have to turned into a seasonal item first?

I ask for the elves, of course I would never think to give my precious dwarves fluffy tree feathers to caress their bodies with.

And now we know why Dwarves refuse to settle evil biomes & good biomes.
