Erith grinned maniacally before adopting a neutral expression as his thoughts settled on a singular concept.  Cheese.  Elven cheese... Which was slightly unsettling, but of course the origin of the cheese was unimportant.  What was important was that he would finally have a chance to practice his craft-- the ancient and artisanal art of cheesesmithery.  Perhaps in this new place, beyond the distractions of elven society, he would finally find the success he had always craved but never achieved.

Erith held the objectively disgusting and dirty yellow lump before him.  "It's... so beautiful..."

There was clearly just one thing to do here.  Erith set in his mind a thought-construct receptive to the unique frequencies of cheesiness broadcast though the luminiferous aether and attempted to make contact.

Focus.  Make contact with the cheese on a metaphysical level... and try to float!

Take this moment to knock out the guard with my sword, as he's giving the elf the cheese.

((Now we just need some sugar and we can telekinetically launch the guy that goes crazy directly into the Christmas goblins.  The effect should be similar to the rabbit in The Holy Grail, hopefully))

Owen has smelted 7 bars of irion so far.

Erith sees a vision of strange cheese creatures with tentacles and eyes. They whisper many cheesy secrets from before the dawn of the world, one of which happens to be how to float using cheese.

Owen has advanced a furnace operator level!

(You may argue that cheese contains some sugars. Milk itself is notable to many for containing lactose, but this is typically broken to galactose and glucose for fermented cheeses.)

Erith could feel the connection working!  Wait, something was wrong, something was taking contr--

"Cheesethulu f'tagn.". Cheesethulu hungered in eternal sleep.  Yes, of course, sacrifices must be made to awaken the Cheesy One.  The whispers told him of the coming of the great cheese god whose visage struck insatiable cheese-desire in the minds of unlucky (or perhaps blessed) viewers.  This body was Erith's no longer.  It was simply a vessel for the dreaming insanity of the Cheesy One.

"R'lyeh awaits.  Follow, mnahn' mortals, and earn your place at the side of Cheesethulu."

The whispers command he give a slice of the cheese to the one known as Kringle Goldentoes.  Erith-nyth does so and then prepares to launch Kringle telekinetically at any goblins he can find.  Cheese for the cheese god.  Sacrifices for the dead dread lord which slumbers and, dreaming, lies.

Steve quickly throws the crazy elf through the door at the goblins, and follows him.

When the gobbo comes in and the elf goes out, Owen puts on whatever armor he can, grabs some form of club, and follows.
