It has been a long time since the world has felt the birth pangs of a god. Longer still before the birth of multiple gods. Most people would call you spirits or demons. But you know you are more than that; you are a being deserving of respect, worship and fear.

You know nothing of this world but you can sense souls; they yearn for a god. They yearn for someone to guide them. Perhaps you could be that god? It's your only chance, after all unless you are content to fade into the Void...

But first...what kind of god are you?

Feeling the itch for a godgame and I want to test out a new setting. As you might have guessed from the little description above, the gods are not birthed at the beginning of the world but are appearing in one already underway. As such, there will be an established setting. More will be revealed as the game starts.  I'm going for around 5 players; maybe more if I can handle it. This isn't first come first serve so feel free to take your time. But first, the Rules.

Also, feel free to complain/argue/whatever if you think the GM (i.e, me) has made a mistake. I probably did.

Spoiler: Actions (click to show/hide)

Each turn takes up the span of a year and during this year a player can conduct at least two actions. For the sake of my sanity, I've limited these choices down to 4 types. This however does not mean you are limited in what you can do, only that you need to clearly state what kind of action you are attempting. Not all actions are guaranteed to happen; factors will affect the difficulty of an action. These are described in the Cult section. Note that even if a player does not use all their actions, they will still have only two action on the next turn...unless you do something that lets you have more actions that is.

Important: Please state how much essence you are using when making a [Miracle] or [Influence] action.

Converse: Encompass any kind of conversation with a follower(s).
Order: These encompass actions that have to do with commanding your worshipers. The effectiveness of this actions is limited by the number of Worshipers, actual Piety and Influence. What exactly the action is also effects whether it will succeed or fail. A lot of 'worshipers' who give only lip service are not very useful.
Miracle: These are actions that directly act upon the world. These require a large amount of Essence to use in comparison to what they do.
Influence: These are actions that indirectly act upon the world. These require less Essence than a Miracle but are not guaranteed to happen.
Declare Prophet: This is a special action that appoints an individual as a god's prophet. A prophet can be communicated with without making use of essence or taking an action. Requires 4 Essence. This cost increases for each concurrent prophet as well as if the appointed prophet is not a believer.
 

Example Actions
Order: Send my paladin to kill the the local mayor of Haven for killing my followers
Miracle: Cause a flood in the the village of Haven for killing my followers. 4 Essence
Influence: Appear in the dreams of the mayor's son, telling him to kill his father for his inheritance. 2 Essence
Declare Prophet: Declare Viscount Harram Dumont a prophet.

You can make these actions as flowery or laconic as you want, although I'd like some kind of description. Please bold your actual action when making your turn; makes things easier. Make it like this:

Your cult is made up of your god's followers. Without them, a god will eventually die from a lack off essence. Ensuring that your cult survives and flourishes is the only way to ensure your own immortality.

A god's Cult has several stats associated with it. As I don't what this game to be too mathematical, I've only included stats I think are essential.

Essence: A numerical resource that is required to conduct Miracles or Influence actions. Are obtained by worship or other sources. If this remains as 0 for too long, the god will die.
Piety: The sincere belief your cult has in you. More piety means more essence and gain as well as dutiful followers.
Worshipers: The relative amount of acoloytes your cult has.
Influence: How much effect your cult has on the world.

Prophets: a list of current prophets of the cult.

Assets: A cult may be able to secure important individuals, places or rights for their cause. These may provide either stat benefits or other advantages.

Tomb of Arthalon: A dead god's resting place offers many advantages to a newly born god. You've already consumed all the essence from the storm god's corpse but even so, the tomb can be used to convert the god's former followers.

Darron of Urheim: The former Lord of Urheim has pledged himself to your service.

Appearance: A curvacious woman, with bright red hair and eyes.Her skin is pale as plaster and her features are beautiful. Her grin is wide and her teeth are sharp. She wears ornate crimson robes. On her delicate wrists are golden manacles, broken, jangling softly whenever she moves. She smokes on a long, fragile china and gold pipe, the smoke giving a odour that makes the head swim and emotions surge.
Personality: She laughs at the struggles of mankind. Love or despair, no matter - but do it to the utmost depths of your passion! Those who remain neutral bore her, and she despises those who bore her. Peace? Pah! What sensations does peace bring? Strife, misery, war! She wants them all! Such delicious emotions for her to feast on! It's hard to betray her, as she has little aims for herself - she doesn't mind infighting, as long as it serves to deliver her more emotional highs. Her followers in civilisation run arenas and drug dens, brothels and other disreputable places. Her uncivilised followers tend to be fearsome raiders and warriors seeking the thrill of battle.
She generally dislikes too much rule of law, as it tends to make a dull, steady peace, with few extremes of emotion or sensation. She's not amiss to spreading a little chaos herself if things get too dull...

Name: Lienruas
Appearance: A man, with his legs and arms severed up to the elbow and knees. Metal has replaced these limbs, and a web of iron criss-crosses his skin, forming together into a permanent suit of armour.
Personality: Stark and reserved, enjoys making people uncomfortable. He makes sure his followers get the help they need, even if it isn't the help they want.
Sphere: Smithing.

Name: Ven Half-Formed.
Appearance: Represented by half-pictures of things from its sphere (coins, hands, scales, trade goods, etc). Has no true physical aspect.
Personality: Petty, self-interested, fickle. Easily swayed by sacrifices, donations and other bribes.
Sphere: Trade.

Name: Tiara
Appearnce: An expressive red serpent with a horned, pointed head.
Personality: Nurturing and kind, but a devout believer in the natural course of things. The kind of entity to encourage along baby snails, then explain to them that if they didn't want to get eaten by that bird, they should have gotten to better cover (and then, of course, encourage the bird).
Sphere: Power

Appearance: A bluebird, with a crown of gold upon his head.
Personality: Seyk is a studious god with a love for science and books. He drives all his followers to learn no matter the consequences or danger.
