Opening up DF now. Let's strike the earth!
Our world, "The Domain of Visions," is medium-sized, with 125 years history, medium civilizations, sites and beasts, high savagery (you know, just for the hell of it) and frequent mineral occurrence.
Our embark is a 3x3 in a temperate woodland. We have a stream and access to humans, dwarves, goblins and elves. We also have lots of soil, shallow metals and flux.
It's not really all that
fun, but we're going to need to go for longevity here. Tegirtarmid, or "Breedblades" (headed by the group Sombith Âbir, "The Executioner of Romancing") will be outfitted with a couple of miners, a carpenter/mason, a woodcutter who also functions as an administrator, a doctor, a planter/herbalist, and a brewer/cook.
We're taking along a number of necessities: an anvil; about a hundred booze; a large amount of food; bags, thread, cloth and rope; two copper picks; a ceder training pick; 15 types of each seed except dimple cups; and a large amount of meat. We're also going to take along 40 pine logs, because our embark has trees, but it's a small embark and it's only a woodland, so we'll need to keep an eye on our wood consumption.
Because we need to have a large stock of animals to work with before we can really start gelding them, I'm going to anoint the chosen one this year from one of the more useless migrants, but probably not put him to any work. Some male animals (such as poultry) can't be gelded, and large livestock take forever to breed.
Here's the livestock list:
10 male rabbits (I'm pretty sure you can geld these, although I'm not sure, and the wiki says they breed as expected; they're also only two embark points each)
10 female rabbits
3 male war dogs
3 female dogs
2 male cats
2 female cats
1 ewe
1 ram
1 rooster (Poultry can't be gelded)
3 hens
5 cavy boar
5 cavy sow
