Since Pisskop had started his tournament, I wanted to play chess with Bay12 a bit more. As for the fact that there is a bigger amount of the B12 community that probably wants to join the tournament but the whole trying to time it up with people on the opposite side of the world is a pain.

So at the moment, I'll start a generic tourny to get a handle on it and go from there. I will try to make more to keep the members interested and not lose interest. I found a bracket generator to use for them so I can handle multiple at a time.

So sign up and state what timezones and such so I can start fitting things together. Also, linchess will be the medium at the moment unless someone finds a better way for slow game i.e. can take a turn at any time without having to start a new game for odd time matches.

Also, Ill be in the tournament too.

I'll put in the rules for the first one later, but as the general saying will go LET THE TOURNAMENT BEGIN!!!

2. Timed tournaments will be 10 minutes with 10 second intervals.
3. Brackets will have a week to complete their games if its not play by move. If everyone completes sooner then the brackets will update as soon as completed.
4. Depending on how many. There will be a substitute play in the first round. After that will be a case by case basis.

The idea is there will be multiple tournaments going on so its continuously going. I just realized that if this gets big enough we could make a sub forum but I doubt it. So if you want sign up and state your timezone so I can figure out a way to get more people on.

Also when you sign up go to lichess.org to sign up an account as well. Just make sure you state your user name for that site so I can add you to the list for both reference for other players and myself to set up the brackets.

Ok, Ill start up the first Tournament tonight. I figured Wednsday would be the cut off point and I'm making the bracket now.

If a lot more people join up we can start doing another Tournament on top of it.
