Let me tie it up like a jerk for voting for Armor; it really would be nice to plug the trickle of dead soldiers.

The longer we wait...
The more research the aliens would do :3

All 3 are really good, personally I suggest we go for armor first, then capture, then experimental warfare.

Armor wins! We start researching Alien Materials. I also order up some of those new Laser Cannons as well as Laser Sniper and Strike Rifles.

Here is our current situation as far as upcoming projects goes:

But the Aliens will not give us time to rest! They are sending a Terror strike team to hit then USA again. It seems they are serious about derailing our North America plans.

A team of some of our best are assembled to counter this threat.

I will post the results of Operation Falling Fist next time I get a chance to do a write-up.

As an aside, I still need Level Up decisions from GUNINANRUNIN and Darkening Kaos. If I don't have a decision by the time I decide I need a soldier I'll just go ahead and pick something that seems to fit.

At least we have some lasers now.

Go knock 'em dead, Rickerbacker.

Terror attacks are pretty much always bad for morale, aren't they?

They're usually pretty difficult and in Long War they always cause some amount of panic.

What does panic actually do?

Countries defect to the aliens as soon as their panic bar goes to 100%, essentially the same as in vanilla.

That... Makes... Whah?

Talk about a ridiculous decision. The bar should be called 'Fear' or something in that case.

Of course everyone's afraid of the aliens, it just matters whether or not their country is freaking out so badly that paying XCOM is neither desirable nor practical.

Spoiler: Operation Falling Fist (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Soldiers (click to show/hide)

The United States is now in Full Panic mode, and likely to pull out from the XCOM project by the end of the month

This is bad, as without the United States we can't get the North America bonus. We can get them back down a little bit by launching a satellite, but it'll be pretty easy for the aliens to make them panic again unless we can also get some decent air coverage over the continent to stop any attacks they might try.

So, what do you guys think? See if we can still make the NA plan work, or should we refocus our efforts somewhere else? We could get South America pretty easily, and that would cut our expenses a bit, but isn't a big bonus at this point since we already built the Thermal generator. We can't get Asia, and Europe needs 4 Satellites before we'd get its bonus. However, Europe does have some nice income countries that might make it worth going for in the meantime.

Thoughts?
