18 days in the hospital. I hope there are some good looking nurses.
Yup. :(

Oh, it's the butcher shop bomb mission. That one usually isn't too bad, although I suppose it's possible you could end up with four cyberdisk pods or something terrible like that.

Well, it is called blind sentinel, so presumably whatever is guarding the bombs doesn't have functional eyes...

Please do send me scouting ahead here ._.
Knowing this mission, we're in a ton of fun (depending on the difficulty anyway, either/or...), but its really doable.

First rule of anything: If the sentinel doesn't have eyes, you don't want to try getting past it.

Yeah, I was there for a bit. I always enjoy watching his stuff. Really looking forward to Beta 15 of Long War, although I think you can't upgrade Beta 14 campaigns to it, which is a shame.

A NEW CAMPAIGN IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. B14 CAMPAIGNS WILL WORK BUT WILL PROBABLY BE BUGGY IN NUMEROUS AREAS. WE WILL NOT SUPPORT B14 CAMPAIGNS UPGRADED TO B15 AND DO NOT WANT BUG REPORTS FROM THOSE UPGRADED CAMPAIGNS.

Yeah, that's what I was remembering.

What do you guys think? Upgrade this campaign or go with a new one when it comes out?

Unless a release date estimation has come up, I'd say just keep on keeping on.

EDIT:  A slightly more complete answer:  Keep playing this one as is.  Wait for release.  Wait for a few other people to upgrade campaigns and see how they handle it.  If it's fine, upgrade.  If it's disastrous, don't.

In other words, standard DF update protocol :P

I'll take the sniper at the very bottom of the roster.

Name: Urist Imiknorris
Gender:
Nationality:
Appearance: I volunteer for Skittle Squad (is eye-searingly bright cyan an option?). Make me look ridiculous.

Preferred class:
Preferred weapon: When we get to gauss weapons, a Gauss Long Rifle. Until then, whatever works.
Preferred equipment: High-cap mags. Reaper rounds once they're available, until then I'm not picky.
Preferred tactics: Kill the robots first.
Upgrade path: Gunslinger, Precision Shot, Executioner, Sharpshooter, Lock N' Load, Mayhem

Lt. Phobos: Central, we have a situation

Bradford: Roger that, Lieutenant, what is the situation?

Lt. Phobos: Someone forgot to load the god damned lasers!

Bradford: Repeat that, Lieutenant? You don't have the laser weapons!?

Lt. Phobos: No sir. Nothing in the Sky Ranger but ballistics.

Bradford: Copy that. We'll figure out what happened. Think you can handle the mission the old fashioned way?

Lt. Phobos: Yes, sir. We did it with ballistics before, we can do it again!

Bradford: Then I'll leave you to it. Good luck, Lieutenant.

Spoiler: Soldiers (click to show/hide)

Is my guy still in there? It seems like it's been forever since I saw him on a mission.
