We've tracked an alien craft entering airspace over Africa. We launch a fighter armed with Avalanch missiles to intercept it. Based on the results of the simulations we'd run, the pilot is ordered to engage as agressively as possible. We need to hit hard and fast!





Victory! The craft is downed, and scans reveal aliens still alive at the crash site.


The soldiers are ordered to prepare for combat.


A fresh team is assembled to assault the craft. I'm confident they will do well.

It prevents panic from seeing other people get hit or killed (but not if the carrier themselves gets hit). It's a good way to stop panic spirals,though generally I'd prefer something like a flashbang that stops you getting hit in the first place.

Yeah, I don't use it too often. Still, it can be nice on troops with really low will.

A few promotions have worked their way through the paper trail.



We also order another interceptor for the air fleet. We're going to need more planes if we want to keep up with the aliens!


And not long after the aliens ram the point home. Another scout ship, inbound over Africa!


Flash is sent out to intercept


Despite doing heavy damage to the alien craft, however, he is forced to fall back




We send up one of the Stingray intercepters to try and finish the day


Alien activity is sighted at the crash, so the troops are ordered to prepare for battle once again.
As all of the troops that have seen combat are still fatigued, a fresh batch of recruits is sent in. May they do as well as the last group!






I'll be running this mission sometime this evening. I probably won't do a full mission report, since it's all NPCs on the mission, but I'll show you the summary at the end and the promotions screen so people can see if there is a troop they want to snag.

The squad returns triumphant! While one soldier was badly wounded in the fighting, the operation was a success and the alien craft was secured.








GUNINANRUNIN: The Canadian came back Weapons, if you want to snag him for your Gunner.

RAM: Same, if you guys want to fight over the gunner. For Suppression you could also go Engineer. There area  couple of Supports who you could grab for that route in the list.

Remalle: I've got the two sniper girls in med bay, if you want to grab one of them. They've both had their will knocked down pretty low due to the serious injuries, though.

RedKing: You got your British Medic!

I was wondering if I might have one of those tacticals and get an infantry. All those overwatch perks work with suppression-induced attacks, right? It could follow the third path except for lock and load and vital-point... Maybe go for Extra Conditioning if sentinel doesn't work on suppression...
