strange underground trees

Are underground trees supposed to grow in cavern lakes? I found a whole forest of mushrooms submerged when I opened the caverns. Will they also continue to grow in the water and spread there?

I also have some downward ramps (no corresponding up-ramps) floating in mid-air after choppjng down one giant mushroom. This is apparently a bug, but can I somehow get rid of them? They are ugly.

Install DFHack if you don't have it already and the deramp command should get rid of those hanging ramps for you.

Of course, I totally forgot to check dfhack. From the readme it appears that these ramps can persist after any cave-in but I never had it happen to me.
Thanks, I will try it this evening.
