I'm surprised we only have 2 people applying. 4-slot game, 2 applications made, GM is picking sheets so later applicants might be picked over the first four.

the world and character system seem really interesting to me.

I'd apply but I'm terrible at making half decent sheets.

Want help?

Just start with the following lines:

Name:
Class:

then add the next couple:

Age:
Gender:
Hair color:
Eye color:
Preferred weapon:
Preferred armor:

then start on the character's background:

How did he/she become their class?
What special events happened in their background?
What makes this person important/special?
What are this person's friends like?

after you've filled those out, go ahead and add anything else you can think of and post what you've got. it'll probably be pretty good, even if you have to leave parts incomplete. we can help you finish it out if you want.

if you really can't think of anything at all, go to TvTropes and get lost looking at descriptions of character tropes that you find interesting. when you come back, you'll probably have come up with something.

Yeah, what he said.

I take lots of inspiration from whatever literature I'm reading/games I'm playing at the time when I design characters. I don't wrack my brain for ideas.

In this case, it's mostly from ASOIAF. And my shield is the emblem of the Brotherhood of Nod. :P

And remember, you can leave the incomplete parts to be later filled in with RP-I don't have to describe the duel that got my character self exiled, for example. I can leave the specific parts if it ever comes up-or better yet, let the GM use it as a plot tool.

I tend to do that.

Guess so.

How did he/she become their class?
What special events happened in their background?
What makes this person important/special?
What are this person's friends like?

I generally get stuck at this part when making sheets.

I'll start working on a sheet since there's no 4th player around but please note it's going to be terrible.

EDIT: Also if it's taking a unusually long time then that probably means I got bored and left it for later so I can play Borderlands.

I did the name, age, spent one and a half hours trying to wrap my head around how many stat points I have left after allocating x number of points to a stat until I gave up and used a calculator.

Then I got onto Appearance and Biography and my mind went blank.

I'll try finishing it off tonight, I come up with stuff better when tired in my experience.

your stats go from 0 to 7, starting at 0
you have 25 points
when you're done, add 3 to every single stat
that is the easy way to do it.

Hrm, well I've already done the stats, according to the calculator I have used 25 points, no more, no less, but I could've gotten it wrong...

Oh well, you can all point and laugh if I get the sheet done and mess up the stats.

1 A.M, the time is right.

Spoiler: Character sheet (click to show/hide)

I warned you lot that it would be terrible, also, is the lore section above faction lore meant to be empty?

Oh wait.

You, the new adventurers, come in play 6 years after the opening of the second gate.

Greaat...that means that the age is all messed up, and I'll have to make a bunch of edits.

That's the problem with doing things when tired, you can come up with stuff easier but you tend to forget critical details.

18 come free (3 per stat, 6 different stats)
25 to be spent
total is 43

yours total to 47.

I knew I should have moved the additional stats perk above the stats.
