Nobody has said GTA2 (PSX), so there's that. I had to look through some of my PSX archives for stuff I like. There's Discworld 1 and 2 if you like point and click adventure. Lunar 1 and 2, Xenogears, and Star Ocean Second Story for more RPG's. If you like golf games, Hot Shots is good. Harvest Moon on PSX is okay. You're missing out on Rune Factory unless you hit the DS and Wii.
Bleh, not a fan of GTA. Point and clicks I'm more keen on watching rather than playing, in general. I'll take a look at Lunar but I'm already playing Xenogears. I played Star Ocean for the xbox and loved the story but I really dislike the gameplay and aesthetic. Golf is boring, Harvest Moon is cool, I don't know anything about Rune Factory but I should try it sometime.

Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams

Star Wars: Episode III

Clock Tower SNES

Final Fantasy VI aka III

The Hobbit
I never really liked those collectathon games like Rayman, Spyro, Ratchet and Clank, but they're classics so I've pretty much played all of them. Exception is Banjo Kazooie, I fucking love those games.

Hm. Maaaaybe I'll try it.

Oh I've played Clock Tower for SNES and both the ones on PSX as well, really great games. :D

Working on all the FF games right now.

Hum. Reminds me of the Camelot game based on the animated movie. That game was hard.

Wordtris for SNES was a good tetris style game.  There was also a DOS version of it.

I like Beyond the Beyond for PS1.  It's an RPG in the style of FF4 as far as combat goes.  It's a bit on the difficult side and has a fairly minimal plot and character development, though.

Tomba for PS1 is a great platformer.  It has a sequel but I've never played it.
That sounds interesting. Is there anything that differs it from normal tetris?

Looks pretty standard, I find the large party size appealing so I think I'll play that!

That looks really familiar, I think I've seen a commercial for it.

The GBA version isn't really a collectathon, it's just a straight platformer. You beat all the levels in each section which grants you access to the final section of levels and then you win the game, IIRC.

You said you were open to any and all genre's so I figured I'd add branch out from the stuff already suggested.

GTA2 is not GTA3. There was a big change in perspective between those two.

Ratchet & Clank I've never particularly considered a collectathon, unless you actually wanted everything in one go. New game+ bolt multiplier solves all of your non-skill point problems as far as i've played them.

I've already played all the Ogre Battle games, I have an LP of the GBA one on my YT account. To be honest I found them all meh compared to FFT, though I respect them as it's ancestors.
YOU *violent fist shaking* Ogre Battle and Tactics Ogre are two very much different things. If you've played all the Ogre games, you're good, but the original Ogre Battle (and, to an extent, the N64 one) are very different sorts of beasts from the Tactics Ogre stuff. I've got mucho respect for TO (though, if you're looking for that, the recent-ish PSP version is definitely the definitive one, imo), but Ogre Battle has my undying love. It's a sort of game we don't see nearly enough of ;_;

... I think we've already had this conversation though, so you should be okay.

Still. Don't confuse passersby by talking about FFT and Ogre Battle in the same light :P Majorly different games.

I've played Front Mission 3, the other FM games I'm not really interested in.
Just to make sure of it, in case you weren't aware, do note that Gun Hazard is something very different from most other Front Mission games. It's more like Assault Suit Valken with RPG elements and a notable storyline. It's pretty darn good.

... incidentally, if you haven't played it, Metal Warriors was also pretty darn awesome. You might even be able to wrangle people on the forum into playing it online via netplay, if you felt like it.

Wordtris is simple.  A square block falls from the sky and it has a letter on it.  You spell words to make them disappear.  You lose when the playing field is filled with blocks and can't place another.

I've been playing Gun Hazard for the past couple hours, this game is fucking awesome. One of the most polished SNES titles I've ever seen. This is definitely on my list of best games of all time.

@GUNIN, I mean that vagrant story has an artstyle and soundtrack that is very similar to final fantasy tactics, not the gameplay.

Ehhhh-
Spoiler: Vagrant (click to show/hide)
Spoiler: FFT (click to show/hide)
I don't really see it. Maybe some of the concept arts, but the in-game sprites bear no resemblance. E: I've got the FFT soundtrack in my brain on repeat, I should pick up Vagrant Story again and compare BGMs.

Ohhh, that sounds challenging. I'll try that!

Yeah I can dig it, that's a good thing.

Ohhhh, right. Yeah I've seen gameplay of that one. All the same it doesn't seem like very much fun if it's still the same deal where you're driving to locations to get missions which results in further driving. :S

I don't mean collectathon as a bad thing. :P It's just one of those games where there's tons of things to pick up, like Banjo and the Lego games.

For PSX:

-Omega Boost.  Its an arcady shoot em up game that kinda takes place in 3d space but not really.  Was kinda impressive at the time for the amount of splosion going on without any lag.  Has some sort of time travel storyline where you are supposed to stop some AI thing with a giant mech and missiles.

-Einhander. A horizontal shooter from the final fantasy folks.  Has a cyberpunk theme, and you get to steal weapons from the enemy using the robot arm on your ship thing.  Its really rare though.

-Jet Moto (3). High speed racing on hover bikes.  Gets interesting with Grapple Beams and bunny hopping to navigate the levels.

-If your ever going to get one of the Twisted Metal games, probably get the second one.  The first is really really primitive.  The later 2 were made by a different company, the actual gameplay ain't awful, but most fans hate the storylines.  Vigilante 8 was also a thing.

-Spyro 1 and Spyro 3 (Year of the Dragon) were pretty cool.

-Decent 1 had a psx port for some reason.  The PC version with a joystick was probably better though.

PSX:
-Crash Bandicoot (1-3)
-Ace Combat (2-3)
-Gran Turismo (1-2)
-Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2
-Tekken (1-3)
-NFL Blitz (Much lighter on the rules, so dogpile the QB after sacking them)
-Tomb Raider (1-3) (1 was great, 2 was intense, 3 is ‼fun‼)
-Moto Racer
-Cool Boarders (2-3, 2 is a personal classic)
-Parasite Eve
-Metal Gear Solid
-Raystorm and Raycrisis
-Intelligent Qube (I.Q. for short)
-Frogger (2)
-Armored Core (Since you like mech games)
-Steel Reign (Tanks tanks tanks)

SNES:
-Chrono Trigger (There's a re-translation patch out there too)
-Battle Clash and Battle Clash 2: Metal Combat (might need ZSNES to use the light scope (via mouse))
-Mega Man X-X3
-LoZ: Link to the Past (Personal Classic)
-Super Bomberman (for multiplayer mayhem and fun)
-Secret of Mana
-Breath of Fire
-Super Metroid (Best of the Metroid games)
-Blackthorne
-Flashback: Quest for Memory (There's a decent remake on Steam as well; more up-to-date, and a bit more story to it)
-Another World/Out of This World
-Super Mario RPG
-2020 Super Baseball (Surprisingly addictive)
-Donkey Kong Country (1-3)
-F-Zero
-Front Mission
-R-Type III
-X-Zone (Another Super Scope game)
-Yoshi's Island

GBA:
-Castlevania: (Dawn/Aria?) of Sorrow (and Harmony of Dissonance)
-LoZ: The Minish Cap (and backwards compatibility, Oracles of Ages and Seasons, and maybe Link's Awakening)
-Shantae
-Metroid Fusion and Zero Mission

Descent (2) does play way better on PC, and there are Direct3D/3Dfx patches that plays it on higher resolutions too. Plus, I advise remapping the keys to work WASD for lateral and vertical strafing (or WS for forward/backward movement, and QE for up/down strafing), and the ↑↓→←→ (or keypad) keys for turning. Shift for alt-fire, and space for primary fire. It'll take a moment to get used to, but it's the most intuitive setup I've got to navigate via keyboard as I see fit. Extremely helpful for getting out of a level quick post-reactor destruction.

Since I'm suggesting PC ports, I also suggest Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries for PC. Nothing like a custom PPC-riddled mech to blast other mechs to kingdom come. I love my Warhawk-custom. It's slow, but powerful. It's also fun taking out 50-story mechs in an Elemental Battle Suit.

Demon's Crest (SNES) - Capcom platformer, the protagonist was an enemy from one of the Ghosts 'n Goblins games.

The Legend of Spyro - The Eternal Night (GBA) - Specifically the GBA version, which is considerably better than the lackluster versions on the other consoles. It's quite a solid beat-em-up platformer thing.
