No. You used to be able to have the receiver of the funds list a random item for sale on the marketplace for however much was being transferred and then the sender could find that specific item and buy it transferring the money(minus steams cut). However since the change to using buy/sell orders rather than individual item listings, that is no longer possible.

To the best of my knowledge the only way to give funds to another persons steam account is via steam wallet gift cards, but that won't actually be transferring out of your steam wallet, but rather fresh money used to purchase the gift.

I actually had no idea that I'd broken any rules. I, like Sappho, thought that Aristabulus had asked a rhetorical question, I misunderstood him, and then when I came back I felt like I'd been jumped on and had my intelligence questioned for not checking something I had no idea I needed to check. Because I was at the end of a bunch of other people offering copies of The Ship I thought he was making a joke about there being a lot of copies of the same game suddenly, instead of writing "Added," and that if there was a problem he would clearly say there was a problem. Didn't want to ruin the joke by asking about it or commenting, though I went back and forth on asking for a long time.

Then I made my next mistake, when I acted like the games had already been added. I didn't mean to ask for anything I didn't deserve, and was planning on adding some games other than just The Ship later--but I was in the middle of the game jam and didn't have time to decide what I was going to buy yet. I wasn't planning on being greedy either, you know? I thought the matter would be dropped after I said I misunderstood and hoped that I'd somehow be able to save face, but it wasn't. Other people started talking about it and the problem still didn't go away. Then I wrote a really nasty and berating post.

I'm sorry for how I expressed myself earlier. That was really inappropriate and condescending. I used to be in Special Ed and I really fly off the handle now when I feel like I'm being disrespected, because it reminds me of how I used to be treated and I feel like I have to protect myself from being seen that way. I felt back then like I couldn't participate in any of the things that normal people get to do or just be with other people. Relegated to the land of the uncomprehending and slow. What you said was a lot like what my classmates and family used to say all the time. We would be having a regular conversation and then WHAM, I would be told I sound stupid and need to work on my comprehension, or someone would loudly ask if I understood what everyone else was saying. They still talk down to me a lot, even as an adult.

I collect a little row of Things I've Done and do my best to let everyone know about them, like it's a passport into a world where no one will ever think I'm a dim bulb again. "I've got my papers! I'm smart, guys! Please believe me now!" I hope I'll be given a little leeway for the dumb shit I do sometimes. It's hard. Every time I post I get anxious about whether I've actually understood what the other person is saying or not. Sometimes I avoid reading replies for that reason. Sometimes I avoid participating at all. I put off applying to this giveaway for a long time because I wanted to be really sure that I would get the application right.

I didn't mess up because I was busy or distracted. I'm very careful. Sometimes I still make mistakes, and I don't mean to. I would never flout the rules just-because, or ignore what a moderator said to me, though sometimes there are still misunderstandings.

I've been asking for advice from friends on how to more constructively address moments when I'm feeling shamed and disrespected like yesterday, because I don't want to act like that anymore. I've never been proud of my temper.

Anyway, you really hurt my feelings but I know damn well, and knew at the time, that I shouldn't have responded like that. Thank you for running the giveaway even though you're so busy. I know it's a lot of work.

You can still do this, minus the 15% cut Steam will take- you just have to sell an item that isn't listed as a 'commodity'. Commodities are items Valve determines the be identical to each other, such as trading cards or cases. An example of an item that isn't a commodity would be the gun skins they sell for Counter-Strike:Global Offensive, because the simulated wear and tear of them is unique to the gun.
