3- My farmers used 100+ plump helmet seeds and now I'm out of them, how can people keep up with the plump seeds? Mine ran out in no time. Plants also seem to be very scarce at the moment as I target the whole area for my gatherers to get plants and it barely highlights 6 or 7

Seeds are generated from either dwarves eating the fresh plump helmets, or brewing alcohol from the plump helmets. If you cook meals with the plump helmets, that actually destroys the seed. So, you won't ever run out of the seeds if you don't have cooks turning them into meals. allowable cooking material can be limited in the kitchen stocks screen, or by linking the kitchen to a stockpile that only takes some excess food you want to use up.

So it's impossible to "run out" of the seeds as long as your dwarves only eat them fresh or brew them to wine. In fact, the number of seeds generated is higher than the amount they plant, so you should see a growing pile of seeds as long as you keep farms running that accept plump helmets.

If you have too many plump helmet plants in your stockpile, then brew them to get more seeds back.

Are you sure you really had 100+ seeds? If you have a bookkeeper noble, make sure from the ''n''obles menu that you have him counting your stocks on the highest precision. Then give him a good office.

Otherwise his precision is on minimal and all he is doing is looking at a pile and thinking "yeah that looks like a hundred sure"

I'd say the lowest-effort way to get more wealth is to smooth and engrave everything. Plus, it gives your dwarves good thoughts because they all have lavish bedrooms. Just make sure the Mayor has a better enough room that he doesn't get jealous.

Sometimes things I'm going to seal up like a water tunnel to a well don't get finished for game years because I'm waiting for my engraver to become Legendary so I can engrave the walls first.

1- Is there any benefits or anything rare I can find in the caves? My cave is at 50Z lvls under the surface..

Fun livestock.

Coloured (!!) mushroom-wood, some with special properties.

Naturally growing underground plants (in case you embarked without seeds or managed to cook them or whatever). -> Your plump helmet problem can be solved here.

Grazing for your flocks.

No more waiting for goblins. The real adventure is right below your feet.

vampires have had a lot of time to hone their social skills, they tend to be very likable. Of course, good luck punishing him now. He will probably be mayor forever if you don't arrange an unfortunate accident. They are actually a lot of fun until they drain your legendary weaponsmith.

Build him a set of marvellous chambers, including a tomb. Add a throne to the tomb, so it can double as his office. Then wall him into the tomb! Let the dead be buried, I say.

Then make him your manager and bookkeeper. Being dead is no reason to slack off.

on the megabeasts/semi-megabeasts:

one thing often forgotten is that they don't have armor, and often no clothing, making them rather easy to kill for an ok militia. Recruits might be in trouble though

I don't know, I had a hydra take out a number of my iron equipped legendary warriors before finally being killed. I lost a lot of guys. That thing was nasty.

Megabeasts can be quite dangerous, particularly bronze colossi, hydras and adult dragons. Dragons tend to be fun in that they light the world on fire, hydras are just nasty in battle and a single bronze colossus can kill dozens of low to mid range soldiers and requires that you have edged weapons of at least steel grade metal to bring it down properly. Most of the other mega-beasts aren't as dangerous but should still be respected.

If you run into an entity referred to as a forgotten beast or titan you would do well to treat it with the utmost respect. They can range from laughably weak to fortress ending eldritch abominations. Fear anything that is described as having "deadly dust."

Don't forget the "deadly blood", it is just as bad if not worse. If that gets on your soldiers/citizens and they manage to carry it into your fortress before dying you might as well abandon if you don't have any cleaning stations.

Eventually you might wind up with more migrants and children than you can handle, or want to handle. A vampire would be mighty nice to deal with the excess. If the vamp does a good job, you drop one of those unwanted folks in his cage and let him kill them. Set up a nice little drop chute for the bodies, with a lever, and stick a corpse pile there for the vamp to put his waste material, and he can even clean the place up himself.
