Was out of town this weekend (sorry about my travel schedule), but will take care of the pretender tonight.  Schedule should be reasonable for the immediate future.  Also - I tried a couple playthroughs on the first version of the map, and while i didn't notice a fatal bug, I noticed that the province distribution is rather... interesting.  About 4 in 5 provinces next to my starting location were either mountains or wastes, with one being a forest.  The nearest plains was 3 "jumps" away.  In terms of available income... there really wasn't any.  I am not sure if this is intentional or not, but a very stark contrast to Peliwyr, where there was at least a decent mix of provinces.

That's the small province area. Income should be higher this next time around, and the mountain/town being a large province means that it should have great income AND great resources, to make up for the crappy places around your starting area. Plus, mountain/ANYTHING can still have high income or high resources if you get a mine.

Also, the plains provinces (plains here means "not farmland") next to the capitol should both have decent income too.

Strange, it defaults to autostart - it must've changed when I switched the map.

edit: Something's not happy - I've now tried to start the game up 4 or 5 times. It says that it'll start, but then nothing happens. I'll send an email to llamabeast.

You may have gotten unlucky and rolled the 20% chance of same-location error. I'm pretty sure that gets tossed up when the .trn files are created.

Ah, it seems that the map rgb file got corrupted on its way to the LlamaServer.

I've just sent Llama the file, and hopefully we can get this thing started shortly.

Confusious ask: why must man play with self before he play with others?

(( I totally forgot about that bug with modded nations where you have to jump into an SP game with that nation in order to even see it as an option in the MP game ))

I would have forgotten if my only other "active" game (AKA sieged capital) wasn't the NationGen one :p


EDIT: Something is weird : http://www.llamaserver.net/showScores.cgi?game=Bay12GamesRound12
First, AlStar forgot to put the score graph options on "off" (or maybe not?).
Second, llamaserver lists 10 nations, and all are vanillas (no "unexpected").
Third, the score page thinks we're on turn 45. It may simply be the score page of another game, and that wouldn't be that unexpected with the bug at the game creation, but that may be something to report anyway ^^"

Indie scouts are nowhere to be found, at least so far.  But perhaps I am getting an unlucky draw - I should just scout with bear clan shamans (which seem to infest half the provinces).

I think there are more indie poptypes in LA with scouts than in MA, and a bit more mages in indie poptypes in EA than in MA.
Overall, national picks should really matter in MA :)

Curse you Unexpected Nation (3)! We could've gotten a turn off in literally about an hour if you'd just played your turn. Now who knows how long it'll take?
