The medic moves up for another toe-to-toe with the last alien.

Drone B is outranged!

Like last time, his bullets simply ping off the armoured sphere.

The sniper plays hot potato with a grenade before she takes a shot.

Again the shot goes wide, the drone nimbly weaving in midair to avoid the round.

The explosion overloads the drone, and it detonates into a million shards of smoking metal. Not going to get anything out of that.

Operation: Brass Cobra

The skyranger puts down near a shipping centre. It's dark, the power to the city cut off, and the smell of death is thick in the air. Inhuman sounds burst from the night, intermixed with screams and the rattle of gunfire.

Brass Cobra - Turn 1

The voice of the commander is full of static, any hint of identity stripped by the crackling radio. "Your objectives are to protect civilians and eliminate the hostiles. If you are overwhelmed, pull out. Alternative measures will then be deployed."

A policeman with a civilian are visible to the east and the north. They look terrified, blood and soot smeared across their clothes.
"There's monsters! Fucking monsters!" The civilian to the east screams.
"They're lurking in the dark! Jesus!" The cop yells. "Are you the army or something? Help us get these people goddamn outta here!"

If we're going east, I need somebody to check that window, and we'll probably want to get somebody behind that divider and getting that civilian out. Remember that I can support you if you stay near, which is also the only way we can get anybody to that civilian immediately. If you want to go north, I could move to the wall and then support a scout heading just a little bit ahead."

People move. Everett is the first to see it - a somewhat insectoid creature, hunched over. A pair of claws are held loosely at the low. It turns to look at the lights of the strike team, and it appears to be... grinning? Vague shadows move in the dark behind it.
