Russian Empire

Raising troops all over the Empire you launch a massive, coordinated attack on St-Petersburg.

Code: (Battle of St-Petersburg) [Select]
5+1 v. 2+3
Albionese army destroyed.

Russia wins the battle.

In hindsight, that might have been overkill.

In order to help the overburdened imperial administration, Albion will manage Portugal and Switzerland over the summer.

I'm missing an an army. I have 18 armies and a fleet (19 manpower total) and a cap of 20 (18 natural+2 trades).

Speaking of trades. After the beginning of my turn, I would like to offer the Ottomans a trade treaty. (Spain will in that case be out, not that they would get anything out of a trade treaty next turn anyway) If all goes well (the total of our territories doesn't decrease) it should give each of us +2 manpower cap and +1 IC.

Ottomans Accept this treaty, in place of the Spanish Research Treaty.

Actually, I made a mistake on the map, you only have one army in #53, not two.

Assuming you want your fleet in #53, since that's your only port.

Republic Southern Europa

Learning from the Spanish mistake, you build more HQs.

September 1900 - Turn 9

Code: (Random Event) [Select]
6, 77, 3
Earthquake in Southern Germany! HQ destroyed!

Empire Français

An army move from Madrid to keep on harassing the Spanish, now retreated in Galicia.

Code: [Select]
2+1 v. 1+4
French Army destroyed

Spains wins the battle.

Sadly, without success.

New HQs are established in Brittany and Luxemburg while a harbor is dug in the Tunisian coast to host the Mediterranean fleet.

France would also like to trade Madrid and Catalonia for the Baleares, as previously discussed.

State of Prussia immediatelly trades the technologies of Primitive Radio and then Radio Communications in exchange for the two aeronautic technologies promised by the Ottoman Empire.

The Ottomans accept, confirm, and reciprocate this agreement.

Albion

Once more you attempt to land in Russia's capital.

Code: (Yadaa, yadaa!) [Select]
3+1 v. 1+2
Russian Army destroyed.

2+1 v. 2+2
Albionese Army destroyed.

3+1 v. 1+2
Russian Army destroyed.

1+1 v. 4+2
Albionese Army destroyed.
Russia wins the battle!

The fight is long, bloody and close, but in the end the Russian manage to hold on their capital, at an horrifying cost in men and materials.

Further south, a fleet depart from Sweden. Its mission: clear the baltic from Russian naval presence to allow raiding party along the entire Baltic coast.

Code: (Battle of Bothnia) [Select]
4+2 v. 4
Russian fleet sunk.
Albion wins the battle.

The Russian fleet puts up a good fight, but perish when an Albionese explosive shell manage to detonate inside the Tsar Nicolas II's ammunition storage. A cargo transporting a regiment of Republican Marines immediately land in Northern Finland, occupying the HQ there.

France note that while it was willing to let Albion keep the Baleares to speed up the development of tanks, it is clear that keeping them further won't help get Tanks on the battlefield any sooner, so that now seems like a good time to finalize the new ownership of provinces in the Iberian neighborhood. France further note that it has been generous enough in granting Albion all the formerly Spanish provinces, gained at a great cost in French blood.

Finally, France would like to make it know that, under the terms of the deal struck with Iceland at the time of the Explosive Shells transfer, Iceland agreed not to trade Primitive Radio without French approval. France of course is entirely willing to approve such a trade between its faithful vassals. Provided said vassals stays faithful of course.

France propose the following deal: Albion gets Madrid, Catalonia and Primitive Radio. France gets the Balears, and, eventually, Primitive Tanks.

In addition, France would like to make a gift of Diesel to Southern Europa, and suggest Southern Europa turns it's scientists' attention to some more fruitful subject, such as Howitzers. France dare to hope that Southern Europa will reciprocate once its new technology is ready.

Albion notes that in negotiations, it is matter of courtesy that both groups move towards a common position, agreeable to both, not , to move further away from that position by repeatedly increasing demands.

Indeed, which is why France is willing to offer Primitive Radio in addition to what was discussed before. We would also like to note that in the current scheme of things, Albion wins everything: it gets one extra province, provinces in place that are easier to defend rather than islands in the Mediterranean, an extra technology, and an ally that can hold Albion's flank. In addition, we will of course share any technology of interest we gets our hands on with our faithful vassal.

I honestly have trouble understanding what you're complaining about.

France would like to offer Research treaties to Southern Europa and Iceland. It is also willing to consider treaties with any of the rebel nation that would agree to a peace.
