:"Well, you still did something, and that something is pretty interesting to me, so you're plenty fine. Ah, and thank you too Beryn."
Fer attempted to bring the large piece of robot he was looking at over to where Amberley was standing with the arm, walking and attempting to drag it but promptly stopping short. Then, after staring at the heavy remains for a few awkward moments, he slowly picked up a lighter piece of robot and brought it over instead, silently.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Beryn watched Fer for a moment, then chuckled to himself.

"I'll get that for ya. Where do you want it?"

The wyvern rider crouched and put the robot over his shoulder in a fireman's carry, then stood back up and waited for Fer to direct him.

[Powder Miner]

:"Just _{put it where I'm standing thanks.}"

[Sirus]

Amberly looked up from her examination of the metal arm to greet Fer and Beryn.

: "These really are quite fascinating. Scholars all over the world, not just the followers of the Old Gods, would give an arm and a leg to study these artifacts. I can't believe we get to be the lucky ones."

[GiglameshDespair]

"..."
"I-I d-don't want to s-see you t-take a hit either... _d-dummy."
She pouted a little as she picked up another piece of robot, much larger than the one Fer struggled with, and carried it over.

[Powder Miner]

Clearing his throat slightly, Fer then turned to Amberly.
:"Since these are a whole lot more portable than the thimgs we usually find, we might want to select a few pieces to bring with us."

[Sirus]

Amberly nodded at Fer's suggestion.

: "Oh, good idea. They would probably be easier to study when we're not bloody and tired...and when we're in a more academic setting."

[Solymr]

: Wait, ya people would pay for this junk. Why din'tya said so earlier?

Barry started hauling robot scraps too.

: Ya'll shur we can git sum money fron this so we can buy things we actually NEED! Like booze or curing sticks.

[Sirus]

: "Well, it'd take special buyers for these artifacts. I don't think farmers would care much about bits of metal unless they could be used to till or plow."

[Powder Miner]

:"I, ah, I would prefer we not sell them or at least most of them, unless they are scholars. We are talking about a veritable treasure trove of archaeological knowledge here, and I really would greatl appreciate Amberly and I being able to study them ourselves. It's fascinating to look into this all firsthand."

[Sirus]

: "I have to agree. The potential knowledge to be gained from these mechanical men is quite literally priceless; we can't just pawn them off to nobles or merchants looking for something new to decorate their manors. Even selling them to other scholars might not be the most effective use of them, since they wouldn't know the things we know from experience."

[SeriousConcentrate]

:"Just _{put it where I'm standing thanks.}"

Beryn set the robot down where Fer asked, still grinning to himself as the scholar trailed off.

"Don't feel too bad. They say the Lord doesn't give with both hands, y'know? What I got here..."

Beryn stopped to flex his left arm, which even through the thick coat he wore made a noticeable difference from its relaxed state.

"...you have up here."

And here he tapped his forehead.

"I'm not ashamed to admit I ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer. I ain't dumb, but I ain't got all that fancy learning stuff y'all got going on, and I don't have talent for magic neither. So be grateful for what you got, as my dad always said."

Finally, the wyvern rider put his hand over his chest.

"And what I say is that muscles don't make a man. They help, but what matters is what's in here. You ain't any kind of man if you ain't willing to protect who and what you love, stand up for what you believe in, and fight for what's right."

Now that he was done with doling out uplifting advice, he turned to Lucrezia to acknowledge what she had said.

"..."
"I-I d-don't want to s-see you t-take a hit either... _d-dummy."

"I know, darlin'. Sorry I'm so stubborn, but I gotta do what I gotta do."

He threw a wink her way.

"Tell you what, I'll let you take one hit for every two I take if that'll make you feel better."

Jesseo helped haul out those robots that Fer showed interest in, taking a moment to check if she really was able to make additional containers to help the burden.
"Scholars and like-minds truly. I believe the world will benefit a lot more if they understood more--and that's by experience, or at least that's what the books told me from my parents. Anyone want to help me attach these containers on Apura? (My mount...)"

Still try to continue making those carry-containers \o/

[SeriousConcentrate]

"I got a free pair of hands while these two check these things out, and I'm not gonna be much use to them. I'll help ya."

Beryn took two of the containers from Jesseo, holding one on his left shoulder and the other under his right arm.

:"...heh. Thank you, Beryn."
:"...hey, Amberly, should we claim an area for ourselves and look at what we can bring next time we have a night where we're not fighting or moving?"
