With a quiet, deep breath, Lucrezia summoned up her courage. She was pretty sure her and Beryn might be d-d-dating. She'd say something nice!

"..."
"Y-You're a-alright too."
After a second, she realised that was nowhere near the compliment she had planned.
"Ah! I-I m-mean, you're g-good, _{I-I m-mean}..."
"..."
She screwed her eyes tight shut in embarrassment.
"_{S-sorry. P-please f-forget I s-s-said anything}..."

Why was talking so hard?

"It's fine, darlin'."

Beryn reached over and ruffled her hair affectionately.

Amberly spoke up, hesitatingly.

: "But if you weren't in hearing range...where were you, Cetus?"

"Captain, there may be one problem."

Jesseo realized she had committed a probably grave mistake.

"My staff. It's used for healing and...I think it has lost its energy. As in...I can't use it anymore."

She rode up to where Luc was and offered her hand.

"Um, that said, I can carry you the rest of the way if you feel tired. Glad to hear everyone is alright."

"Looks like he was upholding our fine privateer traditions and getting some looting in. What did you find, Cetus?"

[Ochita]

Elanore groaned, before sitting up suddenly, just missing Cetus and coughing a nasty amount of bloody phlegm.
  "Ughh.. Remind me to not do that again.." She rubbed her throat, deciding to stay where she was. Looking over at Fer, she sighed, coughing intermittently. "You were the one shouting over me right? Thanks for the concern." After hearing Amberly ask just where Cetus was, she nodded.
  "Yeah, where were you? This isn't that large of a tower.. Or that twisty of one either."

[Haspen]

"There we go! The fans have been restarted!"

Half the tower below, there was a snakelady happily napping, half-wrapped around some fans.

She woke up very quickly, very startled, when the fans budged.

"In about half a minute-"

Margaret was silent for 1.63 seconds.

"Oh, a snakeperson was probably stuck there, that's why they weren't working!" She turned to look at the panels.

"Yes, the communications are running fine and Professor DeMurray should be able to connect with any radio station across the world that's still operational!" The temperature in the room began to drop rapidly - from quite hot to chilly in about a minute.

"Ah, that's better. Reminds me of home, now, if a bit warmer."

[Solymr]

: HAHA! See? Yer 'friend likes the new nick I got for ya! An' it fits nice too. The lizard and ye make a perfect team!

Then Barry walked over to Cetus.

: So ye DID find sum' treshur after all, rite? What'd ye found? Gems and gold? A shiny new axe? Or maybe some BOOZE?!

Barry bellowed a good laugh before returning to whatever was normal.

: Ooh, dun' worry mate, 'm jus' kiddin'. I needed me a good laugh, din't wanna get too grumpy.

He got a bit surprised at the crunchy sounds.

: Bloody... That's gotta smart.

: But after all dat? Screw 'em snakes I say!

: An' the breeze feels nice. Was gettin' a bit sweaty meself.

Fer quickly scurried back towards the consoles he'd seen down below -- the "Reconnecting..." ones.

The temperature was slowly getting chillier.

Fer could see a lot of lines and numbers flying on the screen from bottom to top. They dealt with 'mind control station #4 not responding', 'pathogen propagation 0.00023%', 'audio recording @ Domiria-3 established' and other various things.

The name 'Nansee' also popped up quite a few times.

"Yeah, I got stuck behind because I was checking out one of the rooms. I found this weird canister and tube. I was hoping Margaret could help explain what they are."

"Oh, that canister is full of Molding material. Using the atomic recombination chamber I can change the structure of the material to pretty much most common metals and even few non-metals. For example I could make a new axe out of it for mister Barry here. And that one!" She pointed at the small tube.

"Is the fusion battery! It is used to power few pieces of our technology, mostly hi-energy weapons. Why, I think I could even re-charge the autocannon with it. Or maybe the plasma blade. I wish we still had access to the armory."

Ethan's facial expression was pure definiton of 'What?'.
