"Oh yeah, sounds like loads of fun." Aiesha's tone was rather sour. "Having to listen to Alicia tell the newbies how my method is stupid and how her method is so much more practical. Ooh, or better yet, how she's the only one on the ship who does any work!"

[Swordstar]

"Yeah, it's a bit frustrating when she acts like she's the only one who does work around here, huh? I mean, I know I don't do as much as some of you, but it's not like I laze around all day either. Plus I'm pretty sure you do twice as much work as most of us and you don't get drunk and aren't addicted to vulneraries. So, you know, I'd trust your methods over hers."

"Her methods aren't bad, just different. Oh well. Maybe having more people around will curb that a bit."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Ah, I see. I guess some folks do like to keep to themselves. I ain't never been that sort. Still, for someone who finds it hard to talk to people you sure do seem to find the more ballsy things easy - like, say, fighting, or flying."

Beryn laughed and brought Prata down to near the group. The wyvern landed with a few steps to disperse momentum and craned his neck around to look at his passengers, a rabbit foot hanging out of his mouth.

"Finish your food now, Prata. Me and the little lady here are gonna go check in with this bunch of yahoos and make sure she don't get left behind or nothing. I'll be back for ya."

To Lucrezia, he added,

"To tell the truth Prata's a big baby. I mean yeah he can be tough when he needs to be but I got him so used to me that he gets lonely if I'm out of sight for too long and starts whining. Saddest thing you'll ever hear, a wyvern whining."

He slid off of Prata's back and helped his passenger down by putting his hands on her waist and lifting her, then setting her on her feet.

"Ey, we're back now. We miss anything?"

[Swordstar]

"That'd be nice. It'll be nice in general to get a few more people around. No offense to you, but only having four other people around gets a bit old after a bit."

"No, I hear ya. It'll be nice to get some new perspectives around, more people to talk with." Aiesha frowned slightly, thinking. "With less work around the ship, maybe I can start sparring a little more. My fighting skills really aren't up to snuff, even if my thieving skills are." Aiesha pointed to the shiny new Poison staff Cetus had. "Mostly I just grabbed that because I could. What is it? I can tell it's not a healing staff, but that's about where what I know ends."

[Glowcat]

"Ey, we're back now. We miss anything?"

"Nothing of note. Miss Damiel and I were becoming more acquainted. I would like to know more about the circumstances that have created such an odd assembly of privateers, mercenaries, and a nun but they've all been rather hush about their reason for being here."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Yeah, I just said that. Some folks just like to keep to themselves; I guess this whole bunch are that kind of folk. Eh, oh well. No big deal."

"I can talk enough for the lot of 'em."

[Ochita]

Elanore raised an eyebrow at Stheno's words. She coughed for a moment, before looking at the new Duo.
  "I believe I told you, or do you not believe me?"

"Always headfirst with you."

  "I believe I told you, or do you not believe me?"

"Oh, I thought you were intentionally keeping the item's identity a secret, since it seemed a lot more important than your dismissiveness indicated if you're taking it to the House of Scholars and bringing back a nun, or at least that's what I deduced from our conversation. It's quite a ways off to go for a mere 'bauble'."

[Swordstar]

Cetus grinned.

"It's poison. It's a way for me to finally be able to contribute more than just healing. We're lucky though. They could have very easily used it on us. Good thing you swiped it, huh?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

Beryn cleaned out his ear with a finger.

"I hear you right? A bauble? That's it? I was kinda hoping you guys would be off on some dangerous quest or something, and that just sounds boring. Well, guess I'm stuck with it; Gulio's already taken off and I already told your cap'n I'm on deck, so I gotta stick with you guys for at least a little while."

"Ah, well. At least there'll be no shortage of pretty women to be around, that's for damn sure. You two, Lucy, that feisty red-head, the first mate, that healer. Not the nun though, that would be sacrilegious!"

Beryn laughed at his own... joke?

"That's a shame about Jello or whatever his name was. Did he at least pay us anything for pulling his hide out of the fire?

"And speaking of the first mate, we should probably acquaint ourselves with the rest of the crew if we're going to be traveling with them. Being stuck on a ship doesn't sound pleasant at all but at least we may finally get off this continent again."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Yeah, he gave what's-her-face-purple-hair-first-mate a ring of some sort. Aiesha, that's it. Yeah, Aiesha's the first mate. She didn't even wait for me and Lucrezia to come back down and pick her up before coming back over here. Guess she's got shit to do, I dunno."

He turned to Elanore.

"So yeah, hey, how are you? I'm Beryn Tannios. I'll be joining the crew for as long as it's interesting."

[Ochita]

  "If you must know what it really is, it's an orb that has the ability to contain a message. Useful, but not altogether amazing. The nun joined since the mother abbot or whoever ran it decided that she needed to see the world, and dumped her on us because we were there." Elanore nodded at Beryn's introduction.
  "Well, you're most likely in luck, considering how much fighting has already occured. Elanore Damiel, it's a pleasure to meet you Beryn." Elanore held out a hand to handshake Beryn, and after he had or hadn't shook, offered the same hand to Stheno for another handshake.
