Flipping idly through the pages of notes he'd already made in his treasured notebook, Fer had been taking a walk of his own when he almost ran directly into the troubled nun, stopping about a foot away from a collision.
:"Oh, sorry... Amberly, wasn't it?"

"!" Via puppet, Lucrezia made a sort of "eep" sound, though whether that was the tightening embrace or the dive was up for debate.

"I-I find it d-difficult to talk to people. S-so I talk through L-Lady Rose. I made her myself a-after s-someone suggested it. P-people get scared w-when it sounds like a voice is c-coming from thin air."

[Sirus]

Amberly hadn't even seen the man, and his speaking made her jump in surprise.

: "Ah! Yes, and you're...um...I'm so terribly sorry, but your name escapes me. I know we spoke once before..." The nun looked away, embarrassed by her faux pas.

[Ochita]

  "Aw, you flatter me."
  "Well, living in cities really can cause a drain on your funds. Even with a low pay, I just imagined that there would be hardly any combat, easy money, right? This is the 2nd group of bandits I've fought alongside the group, so we can both see that its not quite as easy money as I had hoped." Elanore shrugged, uncomfortable with the fact that she is clearly not being paid enough. "Otherwise, I guess there's not much to tell. Learnt my magic a couple of years ago, traveled around.. Costs piled up, so I did what made sense and I became a mercenary."

[Powder Miner]

:"Fer, Fer Jasso. ...that one time we spoke was just that one campfire conversation, wasn't it...? Well, I hope I didn't give the wrong impression there, considering some of the shouting I've heard from the others-- I don't have anything against Old God worshippers."

[Glowcat]

"I see. I had guessed you only joined them recently."

"You... seem to still be adapting to the group." Stheno bit her tongue, not wishing to pry further, despite wanting to know more about the abrupt religious quarrel between Elanore and the nun. What did the ragged priest call her, Amber? It seemed as if she joined the group she would need to tiptoe around religious tensions.

[Sirus]

: "Yes, that was it. Fer. Fer." She repeated the name so that she would hopefully remember. By the Old Gods, forgetting someone's name once was bad enough; she wouldn't want to do it twice! "I'm glad to hear you say that - I fear that most of your companions would rather I not be here. Why do you not mind me?"

[Powder Miner]

Fer grinned a little.
:"I grew up in Duo Alvada."
:"If I hated people who worshipped the Old Gods, I'd have to hate two-thirds of everyone I've ever met."

[Ochita]

  "Ah.. Right, the argument.. Long story short, the nun is newer to the group, and believes in the old gods. Elanore didn't seem too excited to be talking about this, but at the least she wasn't going to let Stheno get a bad impression of her. If she hadn't already.
  "Cetus, that's the priests name, and I both.. Dislike the old gods for different reasons. I was offering to keep eyes off of him if he gets overly agitated about the old gods, and Amber..ly? Heard the last parts of our conversation. I didn't intend for her to hear that, and I'll talk to her later about it. No point in antagonizing her."

Alicia shoved off of the tree. Enough reflection time. She wandered over to the puppet girls friend, the one that had a healing stave like Cetus.

: "Hey you! Jesseo right? How are you holding up?"

[Sirus]

The nun gave a sad smile behind her veil.

: "I wish the others shared your enlightened attitude. I don't know how long you've known these people, but...can you tell me anything about them? So I can at least understand why they feel the way they do?"

[Swordstar]

Cetus called out to Aiesha,

"Hey, so, First Mate, you're gonna have to teach a bunch of people their jobs on the ship when we get back. Should be fun to watch."

Aiesha groaned. "Don't remind me. I just hope they all know how to tie proper knots, or I'll be teaching for weeks."

Fer frowned, and shrugged.
:"I couldn't tell you, they haven't talked to me very much. But... well, there's a lot of hatred between churches, I might put it there?"

"Haha, well, I'm sure you could always get Alicia to help you out. That'd be fun for you."
