Stheno can't help but ask with quite a bit of surprised uncertainty in her voice after the sight of Lucrezia's timid conversation via ventriloquism

"Is... is she speaking through a puppet?"

"Y-yes?" Lucrezia ventured nervously. She'd got a unexpected good reaction from Alicia earlier - maybe this could be similar?

Alicia smiled through her death haze. Puppets are indeed just plain awesome. She could get along with green hair.

Elanore overheard the conversation about levitation magic, and nodded her head to it. Good to hear that her teacher had taught her well enough to be able to grasp things like that. Maybe she'd have to talk to Fer later, about magic. Though she didn't entirely enjoy using it, maybe having someone she can talk to- Wait. They're just mercenaries, its not like she could keep up a correspondence even if she wanted to. Probably.

Also apparently most people liked puppets?

: "Of course there are people who haven- Oh, right. Monastary. Everyone there was probably a priest or mage of some sort. But yes, learning to levitate is a lengthy process, and you'd require learning materials, which not everyone has."

Jesseo nudged Stheno, given their closeness.
"Look, between me and you--I'm trusting you here. That girl? Lucrezia? She's an awesome person--don't tell her that I'm making a puppet of my own. I could try and make you one, too, if you want."

Any sense of awkwardness or any reluctance to broach the situation of instantaneous trust onto another person one just met on the road was alien to Jesseo--she had been traveling all by herself in the past years! Only when she finished saying all this did this idea come to mind.

She dusted it away in her thoughts, with no change in expression whatsoever.

I've weird thoughts sometimes.
