Aiesha caught sight of the man in red. He looked like a decent candidate. She approached from one side. "Hey there, you magically inclined? "

A woman dressed up in dark green meanwhile was sitting at a table by herself, some papers spread around, along with a small lunch of bread, she seemed annoyed, and was holding a sheet of parchment.
: "What is with these costs..? They're insane.."

[Swordstar]

"I know how to work a rigging, I'm just not that good at it. I just typically get in the way... And if you hadn't been paying more attention to your drink than to me, you would have heard we're hiring new folks."

[birdy51]

: "D'ja now? I don't recall you saying anything more than to go get under Barry's sweaty pits and carry him back to the ship."

: "But if we're hiring... Ooooooooooooooh! I gotta get me mitts on that action!"

[Swordstar]

"Boss already sent Aiesha to take care of it."

Probably don't need our first impression of our crew to be a drunk person either...

: "Really? I mean, no offense to the gal, but she seems kind of fresh to this whole business. Aiesha's a goodie-goodie. If it weren't for the money, I'm not so sure she'da pick this business."

: "Anyways, I might be a lil tight right now, but I'm not a bad judge of character. Cap'n, you mind if I join her?"

[Haspen]

"No you may not. Take a nap instead."

: "Say what? I wouldn't be a worth a damn as a pirate if I couldn't function while intoxicated. And I'm still standing aren't I?"

[Haspen]

"And you will be even worse of a pirate if you cannot follow orders, am I not right, Alicia?"

[birdy51]

: "Ethan. You know as well as I do that as soon as that sail goes up, I am yours to command."

Alicia marched over to the gangplank and leaned her head and arms on the railing.

: "But until that happens, I consider it my personal duty to give you sass and cause trouble for you. Otherwise, your head'll get too big and *pop*. And then what happens? No more captain, no more ship."

Cetus groaned as Alicia started to make trouble, not wanting to deal with the outcome.

"Ugh... Boss, any other orders for me?"

He launches into what seems to be a rehearsed speech.
:"Oh, me? I am, in fact! Fer Jasso, mage of the Jasso Family Tome Library. I specialize in magical scripts and fire magic. May I help you?"

Perfect! "I was thinking it's possible we could help each other. My boss is looking for a couple extra hands on a trip to the- Oh, where was it again? Oh yeah- the House of Scholars. It's a bit of a ways away, but my boss is willing to pay 100 gold. Interested?"

:"I'd be glad to join you, but I'd prefer to work out my terms with your boss personally."

Lucrezia nudged her companion. Had Jo fallen asleep or something? It would be best if she made the introductions. With no reply, Lucrezia slid her puppet onto her hand.

"H-hey, Jo! There's a w-woman hiring here. I c-can't go up and talk to her... but we c-could do with the work.
