"I watched how they fought us. THere was this kind of worksmanship that had them do things like a team. Given that our cannon-thing is also made of the same stuff these robots are, they could work as a model or material to fix up the cannon or otherwise. Besides, they wielded weapons that weren't in their arms (or at least that's how it looked like while standing behind you all and shooting at them), so that must be something of worth. You said some are out of communications anyway, so these must not be them."

"I guess that does make sense. Margaret oughtta know about these things anyway. Let's haul one to her and see what she says, get an idea for what we'll need and if any of this is useful."

"A-aren't there t-the ones w-we fought t-that are closer?"

"That's also a good point, but maybe these ones are different. We're already here anyway so we might as well haul this one back with us. If it turns out it still works or whatever when we get there, well, the whole crew'll be there so we can easily stomp its lights out."

Beryn hauls one of the broken bots back for Margaret to examine.

"Yeeees? Why did you drag this wreckage here?"

Lucrezia said nothing, just looking to Beryn and Jesseo to speak to the roboss.

"We just wanted to see if any of this scrap is useful. If it ain't, this place is pretty much empty."

Fer approached the group, after cleaning himself up a bit.
:"Oh, you brought back some of the broken robots? Do you mind if I take a look at them?"

"I-I d-don't see w-why you c-c-couldn't."

Fer came over to the broken robots and crouched near one, taking out his notebook and scribbling notes as best as he could understand.
:"You all pulled these things all the way here, huh? Thanks for that. These finds are like goldmines for me, but I wouldn't be able to pull them back on my own."

Amberly picked up a severed arm, examining the part where it had been sheared away from whatever torso it had once been attached to. The tangle of metal and tubes intrigued her, and she thought of something.

: "Madam Margaret? Does your arm look like this on the inside? How does it work?"

"I-I didn't d-do t-that much. I-it was m-more Beryn and J-Jess.."

"Hey now. You'll get your time to shine too darlin'. Don't stress too much over it."

Beryn put an arm around Lucrezia's shoulders and kissed the side of her head to reassure her.

"Hell, I'm just glad you're all right! I'd rather me take the lumps than you, y'know?"

"I-I d-don't want y-you to g-get hurt, either! I-I have a-armour, too."

"I know darlin'. I don't particularly care for it myself. But as long as we're fightin', we're gonna get hurt."

"And it's easier on me to take a hit than see you take one. That's just how it is."
