: Aye, we did it mate! You showed that horse's arse what's the Blackbones crew all about! And you even survived! By the way, I think one of 'em fancy pants dropped a sword...

Jesseo pulled Lucrezia to her feet, and wiped a bit of dust off her puppet.

"We're all alive after all of that, and considering the recent skirmish--so are some of that brigand's men, or at least the horses (other than...the last one). The city militia seem a bit too late to accommodate the rest, but those I could reach are stabilized."

She smiled at Lucrezia and whispered: "That was a noble act there, Luc. I'm glad to be with you."

Luc smiled in return and pulled a face as her wound twinged. She pulled out Lady Rose. She wanted to be as close to 'her' voice as possible.

"It had to be done, we needed magics. And I've been hurt worse. But thank you, Jo. I knew you'd be there afterwards to help me."

Lucrezia inspected Jesseo for wounds.

"Ah! you got hurt! Are you wounded too badly?"

[Haspen]

A group of horseman came from the east and stopped by the carnage.

"Halt! Who are you?"

"Here's cavalry... I'm Ethan, and I have to talk with you." Ethan waved to his crew and left them alone for a while, before starting to talk with the militia captain in hushed tone.

Luc smiled in return and pulled a face as her wound twinged. She pulled out Lady Rose. She wanted to be as close to 'her' voice as possible.

"..."

"It had to be done, we needed magics. And I've been hurt worse. But thank you, Jo. I knew you'd be there afterwards to help me."

Lucrezia inspected Jesseo for wounds.

"Ah! you got hurt! Are you wounded too badly?"

"Just a tiny scratch; nothing good healing could fix," Jesseo said as she gave her friend a hug. "That was a...really close call though. So many people wounded...I could feel the air saturated with fear."

Ethan walked back to his crew, smiling.

"Well that solves the issue. That lady will have a bounty on her head in few days." He looked at a horse that stood nearby, grazing on the grass. It was the only horse left alive. "Any of you can ride this beast?"

[Tiruin]

Jesseo raised her hand, "Although...I could use my pack horse instead, where I keep all the needed reagents to use with my staff. What's it needed for, captain?"

[Haspen]

"I don't know, t'was just an offer. I do not know much about these beasts but I guess horses would help manuever better in combat?"

[Powder Miner]

:"And that's why you don't mess with good mages."

Lucrezia hugged her back, relieved.
"I'm glad you're not hurt badly, then. At least I have armour to protect me."

Lucrezia disengaged, turned to the Captain and held up the puppet.

"..."

"A-ah, Captain? Why did they attack us?"

Elanore breathed a sigh of relief, and walking over to the spot where the swordsman was downed, noticed a fine blade. Shame she couldn't use it, seeing as how it seemed pretty good. Although now would be a good time to sidle up to the other mage, surely he would agree with her on this issue, right? Maybe its better to wait on the issue though, if she tried to ask for more now, Ethan might just drop her off...
: "Who were they though? They seemed so... Strong."

[Haspen]

"I reckon they were headhunters. Me and my crew must've attracted some ire of the other seafaring nations, it seems. At least that's the only explanation I can think of. Are we all ready to go?"

: "Hey, hey! Don't lather me with all the praise. Yer the one who split that guy's head like a ripe peach! I got lucky. The guy was impetuous and left himself open. And I saw that blade! It's not too bad at all. Not my style, but I imagine Aiesha can make some fancy use of it. Oh! And... Here."

Alicia looked to make sure the captain wasn't watching and pulled a large flask out of her pouch and brandished it.

: "Hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of grabbing a bit of yer stash on the way out. This overland journey might take a little while and I can't imagine you'd want ter suffer it sober!"

Barry's first reaction was-

-before putting a hand over his mouth in case they noticed.

: Whoops. Well, she just shoved a buncha those lemon drinks ya like so much for some reason, so ye can have some in return!

Slowly pushing himself to his feet, Cetus leaned on his staff for a few seconds breathing heavily, before nodding to the boss.

"Ha... ah... Yes sir."

Walking over to the mage, he slowly focused the magical energy on the man, before nodding.

"Th... there. You should be all good now. Anyone else... need any healing?"
