Cetus checked that his staff was still strapped firmly to his back and that his pouch held everything he needed, including the orb and then nodded.

"Ready when you are boss."

He grinned at Aiesha, happy to hear she was the first mate now.

"First Mate, anything you need me to do to help get ready?"

: "Damn it. This just ain my day is it...Firs't thist and now that... Ohohoho. Those damn foreign flunkies can kiss my... Barry!"

: "I'll get as much of that moldy crap we call bread and stuff it into my bag. You just... Just keep doing what you're doing. Seems like we're eating on the run today."

With that, Alicia quickly vaulted over the railing down onto the main deck. Like a flash, she was down below deck grabbing a few loaves for the road.

Lucrezia nodded and made her way back off the gangplank. She hadn't been introduced... would that be a problem? Ah, well. She preferred staying more out of notice anyhow.

"We move, then!"

The group moved towards the western gates of the city... and left the city. But just as soon as they've stepped out the walled area...

"Is that horsemen I see?" Ethan stopped and stared as a small unit of riders came toward them from, coincidentally, west. One of them was without a helmet and with rather bright blue hair.

"Aha, green hair, travelling with a band, and with an axe in hand. Mayhaps I am speaking to Ethan Valle, Captain of Blackbones?"

"No."

"Oh, please, you could've at least begged! Came up with a crafty lie! I guess I will have no entertainment from this, eh?" He drew his sword and pointed at Ethan. "Get him!"

"Tsk! Allright, new guys, let's see if you are able to work for those hundred coins!"

Alicia watched as her First Mate... Immediately ran away from the enemy. With the majority of the team's medicine in tow. Her hand went to her face in a sad motion of defeat. I mean, yeah. Alicia wasn't looking forward to fighting all of those lances either but... Nope. Alright. We're rolling with it then. She popped a piece of bread into her mouth and got into position. People gonna die today.

Alicia to 11,9.

Elanore saw Aiesha run... Straight away from the enemy. Well, this is how she'll die. Fighting with pirates Privateers, against law enforcement. Whatever these horsemen were. Grumbling about her situation, Elanore at least revealed the book that contained her spells.

Elanore to 10,12.

Lucrezia watched the privateer woman run.

Oh, gods.

She moved forwards to where she could support her new allies or fallback into the town with equal ease.

Well, Fer had THOUGHT the woman currently running directly past him was some sort of leader, but... aaapparently not. Sighing, Fer retrieved a brand-new Fire tome from his robes. He... really didn't want to do this, but oh well...

Seeing some of her new compatriots (and Alicia) moving toward the cavalry, Aiesha turned and shouted. "Where are you people going? Let's get back behind the walls, engaging mounted fighters in the open is suicide!"

Yes, falling back to the walls was the sensible option. She hoped no new enemies would come from inside the town, though, or they'd be trapped.

Alicia went ahead and swallowed her piece of bread. It was terrible. Ethan was such a cheapo.

: "Aiesha sweetie, there ain't no cover in the plaza. Those riders won't be able to navigate so well round these trees, so we might as well take the fight to them. If we can't turn aside a few lances, we might as well give up now."

"We don't need cover, we need to restrict their avenues of attack! At least don't charge into them, they'll run right over you!" The young thief couldn't believe she was having this argument.

Alicia hesitated just a bit before taking another bite of her bread. It wasn't a question of if reinforcements were going to come; it was a matter when. These guys weren't playing around and the riders' leader seemed a bit too impetuous for her liking. She stuffed the rest of the loaf into her bag and drew her new rapier out it's scabbard.
