We're friends! I mean, we've known each other a good long while. I'd miss you if I'd heard you'd been devoured by disgusting snake women."

Amberly hesitated, then pulled her veil down just enough to gently blow some of the dust away from the panel.

The dust burst in a cloud and now was probably on most of Amberly's clothes.

The writing was faded but obscure words like 'door controls' 'assembly' 'lift shaft #2' 'storage cameras D-E' and other such things were written beside the buttons or on them.

[Sirus]

: "Fascinating...oh, if only the glass screen were intact!"

In a spirit of theological inquisitiveness, Amberly pressed the "door controls" button to see if anything would react.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Hey, all you have to do is say you're not into it. I'd've left you alone. And I could keep Prata away too."

Beryn shrugged at Aiesha and walked on.

"Actually I'm pretty sure I ain't said anything of the sort to you in awhile, now that I think about it. Why, did Prata do something?"

Aiesha ran a hand through her hair. "Look, he's just... Really friendly. And the feeling is not mutual."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"All right, well, if he bothers you again and I ain't around, just punch him in the nose, right between the nostrils. He's real sensitive there. He'll get the message."

[Haspen]

Nothing happened.
