Lucrezia followed curiously, tagging along behind Barry. She looked around nervously.

"Ah, Aiesha, good to see you too now that we're not fighting weird snake monsters. So the ship is really wrecked, huh? That's..."

He trailed off, clearly upset. The ship had really become a safe haven for him and to hear it was possibly gone hit him hard.

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Yeah. I'm not gonna sugarcoat if for you Cetus, the Blackbones is pretty much fucked. I mean, the mast is gone. Gone. If we were at a port with a competent shipwright, maybe but... I don't know how we're getting out of here right now." Aiesha let her hand slide off Cetus's shoulder and hang at her side. "Lemme tell ya, I was pretty worried when you weren't there on the beach."

[GiglameshDespair]

"...?"
"A-aren't you c-coming, B-Beryn?"

[Swordstar]

"Damn. I can't... Ugh, this trip better be worth losing the one place I finally could call home."

He sighed and then blushed slightly at her words.

"Aw, come on Aiesha. You had Beryn and Jess and you know me. I'm pretty good at surviving. Have to have been to get this far, you know?"

"Oh don't worry, my motivations for wanting you close at hand are entirely selfish." Aiesha interlaced her fingers and stretched her arms over her head. "Seriously though, the thought of being stuck on this island with Beryn? Makes my skin crawl a little. I'm glad we found you and the captain in one piece."

~~Chapter 7: The Crew of the Blackbones and the Ancient Alien Ruins Full of Alien Secrets and Ancient Mysteries~~

The group left the sunny outsides for the dark and damp underground. Fortunately, small yellow spheres embedded in the ceiling provided just enough light. The humming remained systematic, if only a bit louder now.

"...I've never seen anything like this." Ethan brandished his axe and then patted it's blade a little.

"I don't feel comfortable with this place, but let's explore a bit, what do you say? Maybe Stheno, Kalum and that other guy, somehow, got here before us..."

Amberly:

Amberly could clearly see similarities between the Abbess' secret machine and this one panel of glass and table of buttons.

Unfortunately, this one here looked much more dustier, old and definitely broken. Black strings were hanging out of several holes and much buttons were missing or smashed, and the glass panel had a hole in the middle of it, too.

Aiesha:

Only few steps were visible; everything lower was covered by rubble and rocks. One can't pass through here.

As a marked contrast to Ethan, Fer was excitedly doing his usual routine of writing down everything interesting in sight.
:"Oh, we might be in luck here! This certainly SEEMS related to Demura, and I'm happy to find out whatever I can related to him as fast as we can!"

"Well but... but you had Jess. Surely she can do just as good a job as I can for any needs you might have. And What's wrong with Beryn? I mean, he's a bit loud and such, but he's not bad from what I've seen. Not that I'm complaining about the finding me all in one piece thing."

Amberly examined the buttons carefully, wondering if perhaps they were marked with Old Runes that might give a clue as to what the device was used for. Even broken, the sight of Old One devices was enough to pique her curiosity.
