The metal door, instead of breaking, was now bulged on the inside. It was still holding, though.

[Solymr]

: *grump* looks like I need me magic potion...

: "Perhaps we should look around instead of blunting Mr Baurus' axes? There may be a key, or those tools that the First Mate mentioned. That bone pit is a likely place to search."

*THUD*

*CRASH*

The metal door, mangled and bent, fell inside the room.

Inside the building - tiled with metal plates - there was absolutely nothing, except staircase leading underground. The floor was covered with ancient dust and only some persistent vines managed to sneak inside through small holes in the walls and roof.

The snakewoman definitely didn't enter this place. Considering the state of the door - prior to Baurus' lockpicking - they probably didn't even try.

"I guess there wouldn't be any harm searching through the bones of the long deceased. Probably." Aiesha carefully climbed down into the bone pit, tossing bones aside and glancing for anything that shined or glinted. "This is kinda more of my parents' area of expertise than mine."

: Orrr we can destroy an unknown relic and lose any chance to study it...

: "I'll help you search, ma'am. Old bones don't bother me."

The bone pit was full of bones. There was lots of gnawing marks on them.

Elanore stared at how good Ethan's axe struck, and how every snake-person ran afterwards.
  "W...eellll then. They were cowards in the end, hm."
On seeing the condition of what was behind the door, Elanore nodded at Baurus.
  "Nice job, Wolfy. Good to know that you're the bane of locks, heh."
  "But, being more serious now, do you think that this is what we are looking for?"

Barry actually took a look at the inside and the door.

: Hey... I aven't seen any building like dis one before. Do ye think it's related to... ya know, why we're ere?

Baurus disturbed some of the old dust, and briefly a cloud formed.

Once inside, he could hear noises coming from the underground, from where the staircase led - oscillating, rhytmic humming. It was constant, and very quiet. Nothing made by people of this land could possibly produce such a systematic noise.
