Beryn could see many human ribcages and skulls and some assorted bones. There was also a large amount of skeletons similar to horses. Rather suprising, considering this is a remote island.

The Matriarch hissed and the naga... ignored Aiesha!

Then the big snake queen moved forward and froze Jesseo in her spot.

Then the snaeks begun their assault.

Two snaekmen tried to spit venom at Aiesha, but she dodged the splashes like a swan prancing on the surface of moonlit lake.

"Hey, leave my crew alone!" Ethan took his other axe and ran up to the Matriarch who smirked at him, showing an array of sharp triangular teeth, and prepared to punish him.

Three seconds later, the other snake-people watched in terror as fountain of blood gushed forth from their queen's neck, Ethan himself not believing; his axe struck the Matriarch right in the neck, almost chopping the head off!

Her body convulsed and twitched as blood continued to gush about.

Other snake-people, seeing what happened, started a chorus of panicked hissing and growling and began to slither away to safety of the jungle. They were rolling over each other in a desperate bid to get the hell out of here, and one of the snake-men even fell into the bone pit. He did quickly crawl out of it and run after the rest of his, possibly doomed, species.

"Sooo, uhh... good work, team?"

"Good work, boss! That's why we can always count on you!" Aiesha put her dagger away and looked at the rest of the crew.

"Okay, good news is you're all safe for the moment. Bad news is the ship is in rough shape, definitely not seaworthy. So we should probably figure out what we're gonna do." The thief turned back to look at her captain. "Any ideas, boss?"

Amberly watched the snakepeople flee, feeling slightly wrong-footed.

: "Oh? That certainly could have gone worse."

Ethan took a necklace of bones from the snake queen, and then looked at Aiesha.

"Well... well, for now, we could explore this place a bit? If the bone pit is any indication, they have been having a lot of visitors, maybe there's some loot remaining or something. A set of tools?"

"And what's behind this door? It looks as it hasn't been disturbed. The whole building looks in much better condition than the others."

While the others discussed, Cetus walked around, making sure all the others were healed. He paused near Fer, and frowned as he lightly touched the man with his staff.

"Here, that should take care of you for now. That was a rough hit you took. Any other wounds besides the obvious one?"
