Beryn laughed as Prata turned in a wide circle, drifting on the currents not even a dozen feet above the treeline. From here, he could see fighting in the north, but all the snakes in the south were focused entirely on him.

This will make a great story someday, I bet. I can almost see an old grandpa sitting in front of a fire, telling the youngin's about snake island and how we rescued the crew. Maybe running a distraction ain't the most heroic part of the mission, but it damn sure feels like it from here.
