Fer finally managed to free himself with a violent twist, rolling out with his notebook clutched in his hand.
:"I-I just wanted to take my notes, I didn't collide with you on purpose I sweaaarr..."

Elanore was too occupied with Lucrezia's words, only giving a brief look at Fer, before turning back to Luc. Her fury forgotten in the moment.

[GiglameshDespair]

It too difficult to get the words right when she couldn't hear properly.

"..."
"B-but the s-squid blew up. A-and you w-were the l-last to u-use m-magic on it..."

[Ochita]

The words shouted at her struck her.
  "I.. I don't have that kind of power! Please, believe me!" She stopped for a moment. "P..Please believe me.. I can't do something like that.."

[Haspen]

Ethan poked his ear with fingers a bit more.

"What was that? Why did it explode? Elanore didn't do it and I believe her. But I won't even dare guess on nature of that explosion either." The captain spoke to no one in particular, before placing his hands on the railings.

"Everyone is alive from what I can see and hear...?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"How about we not question our good fortune and get a move on, eh?"

Beryn clapped Ethan on the shoulder and walked over to the railing to look at the ocean.

"Hmm. Kinda hope that that explosion didn't kill a lot of harmless fish and such."

"Says a guy with a bottomless-stomach wyvern."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"That's a little different!"

"At least Prata is eating them. I mean, this would be kinda wasteful. If nothing else, we could've caught the fish ourselves, y'know?"

Fer stood up and straightened himself out (again), before skimming through his notes and speaking up.
:"I, uh, I can confirm that Elanore could not possibly done that, or any of us for that matter. That explosion would have required VERY powerful magic, beyond any of our abilities to use."

[GiglameshDespair]

"..."
"S-so w-why did it e-explode?"

A lot of cursing and mumbling came from below deck until Barry rushed out axe in hand.

: What the bloody hell was that?! Another bloody squid wants a piece o' me?

[Powder Miner]

:"I couldn't tell you... I've never read about such a beast. But I assure you that that explosion was beyond anything even I could have come up with, and I'm a fire mage."

[Sirus]

: "If no human mage could have done such a thing...perhaps such a creature was the work of the Old Gods? We all know that they had powers beyond our limited comprehension. It may have been a guardian of sorts for the tomb we are seeking."

[Powder Miner]

:"Human mages COULD have done it, back in the days before the Shattering! In fact, they created spells that were even greater than that! Like Armageddon, for example. . ."

[Sirus]

: "A debatable point. I don't think that was any sort of spell though...would something like Armageddon even work underwater?"
