Fer mumbled to himself rather loudly as he put his prodigious amount of robes in order, straightening and ruffling and picking up books that had fallen out of them (his tome and his notebooks), carefully inspecting each one for damage.
:"Ohhhh, none of these better be ruined!"

Aiesha yanked on a rope, trying to force the sails into position. "Yes! Hurry!"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"On it!"

Beryn ran to Aiesha's side and grabbed the rope she was pulling on, to help her yank it into position.

[Ochita]

Elanore groaned as the healing magics took effect, and she slowly pulled herself up on the railing, her face getting a small amount of the steam, though she assumed that the heat she was feeling was just pain from the tentacles.
  "Th-thanks.. Ugh, that smarted.. So is it go..n...e.." At this point, Elanore had noticed the boiling seas, and as she moved away from the railing she turned to look at Cetus, a small amount of fear on her eyes
  "I.. I didn't do that.. I don't have the power to do something as large or as powerful as that..."

With Aiesha and Beryn working together, the sail was soon in position and catching the wind.

"Boss! Get us the hell outta here!"

Beryn finished tying the rope off and looked around for anything else that needed doing.

"Ain't we supposed to be battening down the hatches and things of that nature?"

"Batten whatever you want, but if boiling water is on deck, it getting into the hold isn't exactly our primary concern!"

[Powder Miner]

Fer proceeded to notice the fact that the SEA WAS BOILING.
:"Wh-what... what a phenomenon!"
Suddenly excited, Fer pulled out a notebook, stepped away from the deck a little, and started furiously scratching down notes on the boiling sea, as he is wont to do.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Hey, no offense meant, sweetheart. I just ain't a sailor, is all."

[Haspen]

"Right, we go!" The ship slowly resumed it's journey.

Mostly because there was almost no wind present.

And then there was a catastrophic event occuring!

The sea water went skywards with a thunderous roll coming from the depths. It looked as if someone exploded a gunpowder hold; but the explosion was hundred times larger.

The Blackbones heaved and creaked as the aftershock wave smashed against it and tilted it, sending numerous people tumbling; Aiesha landed on Beryn's face after the rider smashed against the railing, Fer and Elanore somehow got tangled like a pretzel, Baurus tumbled down the stairs to the deck below. All others were knocked down onto the deck.

The ship was lifted and then sailed on the rogue wave for several lengthy seconds.

And then it was quiet. The weather was still cloudy, but there was silence. The sea stopped boiling, the underwater flashing ceased, and nothing threatened the ship anymore.

Ethan stood up, leaning against the steering wheel, rubbing his ears as they were ringing painfully.

//Nuclear-Powered Robotic Vigintipuses Destroyed: 1! *toot-toot*

"Owww... That coulda gone better." Aiesha pulled herself off of Beryn and onto her feet. The thief stuck her pinky finger into her ear and rotated it, but soon gave up. "Man, this sucks."

Fer yelped and tried to struggle out of the awkward position, quickly whisking his notebook (and the hand carrying it) away from... whatever it might have been.
:"A-augh, sorry-- what--"

Lucrezia uncurled from the small and frightened ball she'd uncurled into.
That must have been some kind of powerful magic...

"..."
"I-is i-it over?"

She blinked and looked towards Elanore. She'd been the last to cast magic, so presumably it was something to do with her. Her ears were ringing. It was hard to do the voice right.


"H-How d-did you do that, E-elanore?"

"I dunno, I thought it was all right."

Laughing, Beryn got to his feet. His armor had taken most of the blow from the railing, and Aiesha didn't weigh much. Besides, he wasn't going to complain about women being more or less literally thrown at him.

"Anyway, everyone all right? No concussions or anything?"

[Ochita]

Elanore looked at Fer with fury in her eyes.
  "H...How dare you, get off of me!" And so Elanore shoved Fer's arms away from her, and tried to shove the rest of him away until she heard Lucrezia, looking at her and her voice shaking and bleeding. She stopped, her anger gone.
  "I... I.." She paused, lingering for a moment.
  "I didn't do that! I couldnt've done that!"
