Lucrezia made an odd expression at that first statement. She borrowed Jasso's voice again to ask a question.

"W-what risks are there? I-I'd like to know more about the job. And you.If... if that's ok." It would sound to the thief like the mage was standing behind her, almost talking into her ear.

Wh couldn't Jo wake up, already?

Shit. Aiesha had been hoping to avoid this part. She turned to the mage who was clearly speaking to her (and a bit too closely but she'd let that slide) "Uh, well, like I said, we're headed to the House of Scholars. It's apparently this Sage-hideout deal way off from hear. I think I heard something about there being a desert between here and there. We should be fairly safe honestly- Our group can take care of ourselves as is, and we already have one healer. But the world is a rough place these days, so my boss asked me to grab a few extra hands for the trip, especially since he's usually more... Nautical. Anyway, my name's Aiesha. You in or out?"

Lucrezia tapped the woman's shoulder to get her attention and nodded.
When the woman was looking at her, she stole the mage's voice for a final time. For now, at least.

"So who is your captain?"

"His name is Ethan." Aiesha turned around sharply and poked Fer Jasso in the chest. "And quit talkin' into my ear!"

Having heard the voice, Fer had to take several moments to try and articulate words.
:"ow H-h-hey, I'm not s-saying a thing! I-i mean, "my" voice is coming from over there and I'm here, so clearly I can't have said anything, so, uh, voice mimic magic?" He looks in the general direction the voice was coming from. "Please stop that?"

"...but yeah I'm in."

Ah, no! She was getting the mage in trouble. There was no magic involved, though. It wasn't difficult, you just spoke from somewhere else instead of here. After all, her own voice was... unavailable.

"Hey! Wake up! Wake up! Focus Jo! Something's happening!

Jesseo had been lost, deep in steeped thought from the passing days. Her silent companion was the nearest to the best she had ever met in recent time, and her pokes had been pretty heartwarming despite her meek nature--she was like a sister in personality!

Now with her thoughts back in reality, the sudden lack of her companion by her side and by her table brought her senses to their awareness. She looked around and waved at Lucrezia, and stood up to get to the matters at hand.

"Sorry about that, was busy thinking...deeply about personal matters. I'm Jesseo, call me Jo; my friend who I believe you've met is Lucrezia. I prefer calling her Luc, though--she's a real good person to be around with, though quite the quiet person."

She adjusted her staff, which was slung around her back.
I remember someone speaking about work and such?

"As for the notice of work, we're both in!" Traveling to a house...Aisha is her name. Should look after own belongings. Have to saddle the horse and pack up then. Have to check on Luc's belongings too. "I look forward to service under you, Captain Aisha."

"Actually, I'm not the captain. I'm just part of the crew. Anyhow, I think I've got plenty recruits- Let's get moving." Aiesha began leading her new hires back to the ship.

Lucrezia waved back happily. Employment! She'd (kind of) talked to someone and got the job, even if she did get the poor mage-man in trouble.

Quietly, so only Fer, would hear, his voice whispered: "S-sorry."

Leading the four people she'd managed to hire, Aiesha made her way up the gangplank. "Hey boss! Got us a couple of mages, a new healer, and a girl who knows her way around a lance. Alright new people, introduce yourselves to the captain!"

Cetus's eyes lit up at the mention of a healer.

"Thank Undine, I won't need to deal with this group on my own anymore. Welcome to you all and especially to the healer. Trust me when I say we'll have our hands full with this group."

Lucrezia smiled and nodded, though she said nothing, of course.

Aiesha hurriedly made a waving motion at Cetus. What the hell was he thinking, telling the healer she'd have her hands full? He was gonna scare them off!

Cetus winced slightly at seeing Aiesha frantically motion for him to shut up. Apparently she hadn't told them their normal activities or something.

"Err, though... This trip should apparently be a pretty easy one so hopefully it won't be as bad as I made it out to be? Can be a bit of a pessimist I suppose?"

He made a face at Aiesha, clearly hoping that he had satisfied her.
