"We need to reef the sails, but that's about it. Boss, something is wrong. And not just the weather." Again, Aiesha felt watched, and again, she turned to look.

Aiesha have been greeted by a giant tentacle.

Giant, red-tinted, slicky tentacle that was peeking at her from over the railing. It had numerous suction cups, and little nubs that propably were spikes.

Then it wriggled at her!

Aiesha hurriedly stepped backward, forcing a nervous laugh. "Oh, okay, just a squid or something. Hey, Barry, you wanna deal with that thing?"

Kalum sat in his chair, practicing his breath control as they waited for Cetus to return to the game, after he was done checking on things.
He didn't like the way the ship was rocking about. It didn't upset his stomach, it just... made the hair on the back of his neck stand up.
He looked at his current hand, consisting of a bunch of completely nonmatching cards. He went over in his head the possibility of them combining into any sort of useful denominations, such as a "flush" or "straight", but they all seemed too random.

"..."

[Haspen]

Two more appeared!

The ship shook violently!

"Oh SHIT! Everyone! Giant tentacles attacking! Get up here!!" The ship's hull was smacked again. Soon, five tentacles were visible just as the other crewmembers entered the deck!

"Stupid tentacles, leave my ship alone!"

Kalum dramatically threw his worthless hand of cards into the air, and grabbed his longbow before rushing up the stairs to see the horrors around them.

"...This is certainly new."

He charged up the stairs to the higher ground, and ran past Aiesha, who was backing away from them, before lifting his bow to fire on the enemy.

Run up the stairs to 715, fire on Tentacle F!

Turns out Luc hadn't had the best of luck with cards, having no poker face and not enough courage to ever call a bluff.
It had almost sounded like something had rasped against the ship, just then. But the ship was full of strange noises. Creaks and groaning of timbers. She thought about bringing attention to it, but decided not to.

Suddenly, the ship rocked, and there was shouting from above. Something was happening! She took her lance in hand, making her way updecks, and...

"..."
"O-oh. _Ewwwww."

Oh, those were disgusting, and filled her with a sort of primal worry. She made sure her armour was buckled on tight.

Stheno stretches as she reawakens from an early retirement from the card game and comes above deck.

"What's the issue up here?" She wraps her arms around herself to retain heat against the winds before opening her eyes and taking a look around the deck.

"Oh. This dream again. I'd rather not."

Fer hadn't been asleep for the past couple of minutes-- he had been putting on his multiple layers of robes, and got everything where it usually sat among the linen folds.
:"Wh-what is all this then?"
Fer tried to rack his memory to see if he'd read anything about anything like this before...
But he also pulled out his fore tome and got burninating.

Kalum didn't bother to look at Stheno as he called out.

"This is no dream! We are under attack!"

Beryn took a moment to check what everyone else's hand had been before putting the cards away and heading to the deck.

"Heh. And here's me with a pair of fives, and still the highest hand. What kinda luck is that?"

His demeanor changed upon seeing the monster.

"Oi! Sea monster! if anyone's gonna be doing inappropriate things on this ship it's me! Got it!? Now back away from all the beautiful ladies!"

Beryn to 11,13 and hack Tentacle F with Gaebolg!

"And that's no invitation to go after the guys neither, ya dumb monster!"

Amberly eyed the wiggling tentacles with disgust. She had been learning how to play cards by watching the rest (she could tell that they weren't the best at it), and now some horrible sea monster had disturbed her only source of entertainment.

: "Please go away now."
