Prata made pleased chirping noises, rubbing his chin back against Amberly's hand whenever it was near and generally just nuzzling her and being altogether ignorant of the argument about whether or not he was going to get fed.

Amberly laughed a little at the wyvern's antics. It wasn't a sound she made often, certainly not since leaving the House of Scholars.

: "Oh, how could you say 'no' to this face? He's just like a big dog...with scales and wings."

Prata flopped onto his side, lolling about with his head in Amberly's lap. He was enjoying all the attention the nun was lavishing upon him. He was certainly responding well to Amberly's laughter, anyway; it only seemed to encourage him to act more ridiculous by the second.

"Probably because I don't like dogs either." Aiesha said, peering at the two. Well, at least Amberly seemed to be enjoying herself.

Barry woke up just in time to see his doppleganger.

: I don't see the resemblance...

: Beard's not nearly magnificent enough!

[Glowcat]

"The nun seems to have him well in hand. As long as Prata doesn't eat her your problems are solved."

"Was there anything else you wanted?"

"..."
"Y-yes. I-I'll a-ask Stheno when w-we get back to the s-ship." At octopus man's comment, she smiled slightly. "I-I'll have to f-fix that, t-then."

[Sirus]

She didn't...like dogs? Amberly hadn't been aware that was even possible up until this point.

: "I'm pretty sure he's been trained not to eat people. What he probably needs is a large bone of some sort...perhaps a nearby butcher would be willing to part with one. Stheno, could you go find one for me?"

Aiesha shook her head at Stheno. "No, not really. I was just killing time until that happened." When Amberly asked Stheno to go get a bone from town, Aiesha frowned again. "She's not going into town by herself. Buddy system and all that."

[Sirus]

Amberly frowned behind her veil.

: "You can go with her. Unless you'd rather stay and play with Prata while I go."

Aiesha made a face. "I don't have a lot of choice. Captain told me and Cetus that one of us had to stay with the ship, and he went on a shopping trip with the last of our pocket change."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Prata was still lolled against Amberly, but a steady rise and fall of his chest and a deep sawing sound said he had probably passed out due to an excess of attention.

[Glowcat]

"Well... we're free to go now."

"Even if I'd much rather drown myself in alcohol at this moment."

[Sirus]

Amberly looked down at the dozing wyvern in relief and softly patted its neck.

: "Guess he's tuckered out anyway. Guess we don't need to go after all."
Gods know I didn't exactly want to go anywhere with her...

[Glowcat]

"Fine, but I'm getting off this ship for a while." Stheno stepped off the gangplank before either of them could stop her and headed into town with a dismissive farewell wave. "I take full responsibility for anything that happens while I'm gone and I won't come crawling back if wild sea wolves eat my legs or whatnot."
