"You don't? I'm surprised he's so good at hunting out here to keep full then. He would eat a few hundred pounds of meat every week back when we were traveling."

She looked at Prata, trying to remember how Beryn controlled the creature.

"We could try belly rubs."

After excusing herself from her bump against Fer, Amberly sat down on a nearby crate until the...landsickness?... could pass. After some time she realized that there was a commotion on the ship's deck, and she got up to investigate. The nun found two women and a wyvern darting all over the place.

: "What on earth is going on here?"

"I am not giving this thing a damn tummy rub!" Aiesha said, bumping into the railing. She whipped her head around to look down and spotted Amberly. "Beryn's wyvern won't leave me be! You're not carrying 40 pounds of raw meat by any chance?"

The nun shook her head.

: "No, I'm afraid not...Are you sure he's hungry? Maybe he wants to play."

Prata started nuzzling Aiesha now that she could no longer retreat. He kept it up for a few good seconds, running his cheeks over Aiesha's face and torso, before he heard Amberly's voice. Maybe this new person had food? He wandered over and flopped in front of her, chin at her feet, and whined for treats.

Aiesha breathed a sigh of relief when Prata finally relented, and targeted Amberly instead. "Well then you play with him if you think it's such a good idea."

Hmm, maybe he was hungry. Peckish, at least; she assumed that if the wyvern were really hungry he'd have gone hunting or fishing.

: "Good wyvern," the nun said aloud, kneeling slightly and rubbing the beast's neck. Looking up at Aiesha, she asked "Is there any meat in the ship's stores?"

Prata closed his eyes and pressed his head against Amberly's shins, clearly enjoying the neck rubs.

Elanore was somewhat impressed by the level of quality, considering the materials put into these dolls. She looked at the Barry Baurus doll, and smiled.
  "Heh, if you wanted to make a doll like Baurus here, you could've just made a stuffed octopus." She became solemn for a moment, then shook her head. "_{I knew I should've stuck to calling him an octopus}"

"According to her, none.."

"We could try to find a butcher's shop. I'm not sure if the others would approve when the ship is so low on funds though."

"Actually, I said I didn't have any on me. Not that I'm gonna let you two feed our rations to the lizard anyway."

"Hehe. I-I c-could make an o-octopus, a-and you c-could see w-which r-resembles him more."

"Well as long as you make it out of red cloth, I'm pretty sure it'll be pretty close."

[Sirus]

: "I could give him some of my rations, maybe..." The nun absentmindedly kept rubbing the wyvern's neck, sometimes scratching under his chin instead.

"Oh yeah? And what're you gonna do when you get hungry, huh? Besides, he's huge, a meal for you would be like a snack to him. Let him go fishing or something, he'll give up if you don't encourage him."
