: Nah, I doubt she's gonna learn a thing if we don't have any cards. And we're not gonna find any cards standin' and blabberin'. Let's go take a look.

Go look for shops and places.

  "Depends-" Elanore fell quiet as Beryn spoke before her, and nodded.
  "I know how to play poker though, along with solitaire, but solitaire is a solo game. Seeing as how we don't have much time to explore around, I guess I should try to see if I can find a deck. Yeah, I'll come along with you then Wolfie."

After the conversation is over, look for buying a deck of cards, and also for a tome shop.

There was small steelwork shop. Aside from crafts and utensils and everyday steel items, they had also weapons for sell with rather affordable prices.

Then there was a fletcher's shop, which owner tried his best to make decent ranged weapons with what little quality lumber he had around.

A small apothecary was set up by a worshipper of the Undine at a corner of the local food bazaar. He was also trying to sell a simple healing staff, too.

Elanore found a small magical bookstore. It had several simpler tomes and - at best - a single copy of some more powerful books.

Luc looked at a bundle of pilums, and pulled out her purse. She opened it and her face fell somewhat. A few lonely copper coins clinked forlornly at the bottom of the fabric pouch.

"I-it'd be n-nice to have some pilums, b-but I c-can't afford it."

Beryn ran his hand through his hair.

"Wish I could help ya darlin', but, uh, I'm a little broke as well. I was going to get paid by that merchant if we'd gotten to town, buuuuut I guess I kinda skipped out before he paid me."

"I doubt he minds that too much, anyway!"

Stheno finally finished with the batch of seasickness tonic she'd been working on since shortly before arriving at port.

"That should do for the time being." After a self-satisfied moment of indulgence in her talents she suddenly noticed the relative emptiness of the ship compared to before.

"Where in Seidon's bowels is everybody?"

She took a walk around the ship, seeking out somebody who she might converse with about... well, anything as a break from her work at this point.

[Haspen]

A parrot landed and perched on the railing. It looked at Stheno, then at her precious shiny work, and back at Stheno.

"PRETTY! *squawk* PRETTY BOTTLE!"

[Glowcat]

"What? No, shoo you horrible bird. Shoo." Stheno clutches her precious bottle with one arm while waving away the fowl begger that had appeared.

[Haspen]

The parrot fluttered its wings a bit in display of power.

"*squawk* PRETTY BOTTLE, UGLY WOMAN!!"

[Glowcat]

"Oh please. As if you're a looker."

"I don't have any bottles to spare so bugger off you winged demon." Stheno starts slowly backing away towards the stairs to below deck.

[Haspen]

The parrot flew to the stairs going under the deck, and stood between them and Stheno.

"BOTTLE FOR CAPTAIN! *squawk*"

"Sure, now you're a captain is it? At least I can admire your confidence."

Stheno eyed the stairs, then desperately looked around for an ally who wasn't there, then the parrot, then the stairs. Was it worth it? The bottle could easily be destroyed if the parrot started fighting her for it, but she didn't want to give in to its TERRORISM.

Luc giggled silently at that.
"..."
"Hehe. I-I guess he wouldn't."

"BOTTLE! BOTTLE!" The parrot basically shrieked and then jumped into the air.

A big scaly head flew past, chomped the parrot and flew away with loud swoosh following. It was quite familiar scaly head.

Which soon smashed against a rather tall palm tree off the pier. After a moment, Prata lifted himself from the ground, shook it's scaly head a bit and took off into the air with a rawr. He's gonna be fine.

Which cannot be said about the parrot, which head - beak and eyes wide open - was now laying on the deck in front of Stheno.
