"Hey, no offense meant, man. Sorry. I just run off at the mouth sometimes, y'know?"

He raised his hands in a placating gesture.

"If it's something you don't wanna talk about, that's cool too, I mean."

Cetus sighed and rubbed his temples.

"Sorry, it's just... There's a lot in my past I'm running from, I guess would be the best way of putting it."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Right... I don't really get it myself, but everybody's a different person for a reason."

"Hey, what about you, Barry? When did you join up?"

[GiglameshDespair]

Luc stepped up at Beryn's invitation, listening to the conversation.

Barry catched up to the other two talking about pirates and privateers.

: Yeah, there's a difference, we're not free to do as we please!

: Eh, I joined 'cause I was bored with the peace o' land I lived back then! I went thru a load of crews before I found one that was able to handle all of meself.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Now that's an answer I can understand! Sounds about the same for me."

Beryn looked down at Lucrezia and smiled.

"What about you, Lucy? Got anything you wanna ask us?"

[Ochita]

Elanore yawned, stretched, and left the now-somewhat drafty lower decks, to see that yes, they were docked at some backwater place. Not quite the bustling city that she had hoped for, but at least she could stretch her legs. Seeing that Barry and the Doll girl were starting to talk to Cetus and that wyvern rider. Making her way over there, she nodded at the small group, but didn't say anything yet.

[GiglameshDespair]

"..."

Well, she did want to ask him to ride on the wyvern again...
"Y-yes - w-wait, n-no." It'd be a bother if she asked now, Luc glancing away bashfully (and conincidentally spotting Elanore). "H-hello, m-miss Elanore."

[Ochita]

  "Oh, don't mind me, just seeing what everyone was up to. Please, continue with whatever was going on before I arrived, I didn't mean to interrupt anything."

[SeriousConcentrate]

Beryn turned to Elanore.

"So, what about you, Elanore? How have you been killing time on the ship?"

[Ochita]

  "Hmmm. Well, I've got books to read, wolfie here to bother, and meditation to do, but that can get somewhat boring, except bothering Wolfie. So how about you, Beryn? I can't imagine that you'd get bored with a wyvern to fly around on."

[GiglameshDespair]

A thought occurred to Lucrezia.
"W-where is Prata? H-he wasn't on the ship or n-next to it... is he off h-hunting?"

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Cap'n don't allow him on board much... and even so, there's not much to see on the ocean even from a wyvern's back."

"It's not so bad during the day, though! There's a ton to do. All kinds of little chores, like making sure the supplies are secure or climbing up to check on the sails and things like that."

"It's just the downtime that's boring. I've got too much energy, I need to find stuff to do, y'know?"

At that point Lucrezia asked about Prata, and Beryn turned to her.

"He can doze while gliding. He tends to just circle overhead most of the time and keep an eye on me. He'll be around if I need him. Or if he wants attention."

[Ochita]

  "Mhm, I won't argue with seeing a whole lot of nothing."
  "I wonder if we could get a deck of cards or something then. Gambling's at least a way to pass the downtime."

[GiglameshDespair]

Luc looked upwards, hoping for a sight of the huge beast, but to her disappointment saw nothing.

"I-I've n-never gambled before. H-how do y-you play c-cards?"
