Amberly hoisted the heavy sack containing her portable shrine and awaited instructions to board.

Ethan nodded at Cetus' words.

"Good. Stheno, did you want anything?"

Pausing when Ethan referred to her "Yes, in fact. I could use a section of the ship to perform my alchemy away from the crew. Sometimes the experiments can produce... unwanted side effects."

"On the bow. It's far from trapdoors and busier sections of the ship, so you won't be under anyone's feet either."

"I suppose that will have to do, as long as I have something to secure the supplies as well. Thank you Captain.

Prata closed distance by extending his neck until Jesseo's hand was in front of his nostrils, his blue eyes crossed to see it. He took a deep sniff of her hand, then moved his nose to in front of hers and sniffed again. Seemingly satisfied, he moved his head back to her hand and pushed the side of his face against it, probably harder than Jesseo was expecting but that was just his way.
Meanwhile, Prata continued to rub his snout against Jesseo's hand, apparently enjoying either the warmth or the scent of it.

Jesseo was frozen as Prata nuzzled her hand, still frozen from when she held it out. She felt the heated air as Prata exhaled on her ungloved hand, and like the warmth melting ice, she managed to slowly tap and pat the wyvern's snout, feeling the texture of the exotic creature for the first time in her life, and not just from books and paper.

She exhaled, and noted her shoulders tense, as well as how her body was stiffened up. She relaxed, and looked at Prata in the eye, examining and studying the creature as it stared back. She managed a smile, and whispered a little Hi, thankful for both this moment and what she had learned before.

She held out her other arm, and moved a tiny bit forward to try and caress its neck. A thought struck her, and she wondered if it was even possible to hug a wyvern.

And so they have boarded the ship and went east.

~~Chapter 3: Bon Voyage!~~

However, it took only three hours before the situation have changed - maybe for worse. The Blackbones have been followed.

Ethan glared from the stern part of the deck at two vessels that have begun to gain on the small caravel of his, clearly in pursuit. It didn't help that the seas were rather unpleasant now, the waves high and strong, albeit there were only few clouds on the sky.

The green-haired captain crossed his hands on his chest and looked at Cetus, who was standing besides. Aiesha was at steering wheel.

"Cetus, get the spyglass from my quarters, please."

"I wonder who it might be..."

Beryn was nearby.

"Hey, Cap'n. Want me to fly over and get a better look?"

"Unless they have lightning magic, they ain't going to shoot him down. Trust me on that."

"But you're the cap'n. If you want me to wait, I'll wait."

Luc wondered idly at the strange way the Captain had of saying "spyglass."

"Sure thing."

Beryn cupped his hands around his mouth. He could bellow quite loudly when he needed to, as he was used to shouting; orders to Prata over rushing winds, locating people stranded in the mountains with call-and-response...

"EVERYONE ON DECK! MIGHT BE A SCRAP COMING UP AND YOU DON'T WANNA MISS IT!"

Aiesha winced, and rubbed a finger in her ear. "I could have done that. Well, hopefully you didn't alert the crew of those other ships..."

"Yeah, but you asked me to do it."

"And I hope those bastards did hear. One ship taking out two? It'll make a hell of a story."
