Though it's going to be pretty crowded with all the new faces."

"Given this recent incursion, and the...respect paid towards the raiders, maybe we can...buy a bigger ship? Or expand our present ship?"

Ethan wrapped something round in lots of cloth.

"Hey Alicia, hold onto that till we get back to the city." He passed the package to her.

"And we're privateers. Corsairs. Hired sea  thugs on the money of the Alvada. But not pirates, like Cetus said."

@Aiesha:

"I'm allright! I'm allright!"

[Sirus]

Amberly arched an eyebrow at that little revelation.

: "I am surprised that people such as you would work for New Alvada, considering the dislike many of you seem to hold for the Old Gods. Why wouldn't you work for Domiria instead, or Zeekonrik?"

Cetus winced, not having a great answer for that one.

"Ah, well... It's where I was from, originally. And even though most of my family hates me now, they're still my family and... Ethan here accepted me even though I was sort of fleeing the church, and I just sort of... stayed."

[Haspen]

"Because it's too far north for my liking. And we don't sail where I don't want to. Simple as that!"

[Tiruin]

Jesseo raised her hand, with a slight annoyance in her tone--though it could easily be seen as annoyance either way due to the lower-than-average pitch of her voice.

"Zeekonrik here. I have little to speak about my f-...past or...that. Things happened, and I just want to help people out."

"Excellent to hear. Now, as we have risked life and limb defending you," Aiesha said, despite the deserters not having posed a significant threat to them, "Perhaps you could see your way to giving us some fom of compensation."

Beryn made sure Lucrezia was seated securely with his left arm around her waist, his right hand in the reins as before.

"It'll be a short flight since we'll need to come back to pick her up. Here we go!"

With that, Prata took off, spiraling high into the air before leveling off to glide over the plains.

@Aiesha:

The merchant tossed a ring at Aiesha's face and then drove his horses southward with haste.

Aiesha caught the ring easily. "Damn, what a cheapskate. We save him from a pack of bastards like that and all he gives me is a lousy- ooh hey, I think this thing is magic!" Not bothering with waiting to be picked up, Aiesha made her way back to the others in short order.

"Heads up Cetus!" The thief lobbed the poison to Cetus and approached her captain. "Hey boss. Managed to get a magic ring out of him, then he split."

[Haspen]

"We've got a trinket for our trouble. I call it profit." Ethan shrugged.

[Swordstar]

Catching the staff, Cetus looked it over and then grinned.

"Ooo, very nice. This will be super useful in battle. Thanks Aiesha."

[Tiruin]

Jesseo looked around and spotted the merchant's guards still...present.

"Err, not to interrupt the gift-giving but- aren't you and the wyvern rider part of those with the one who just gave that nice ring?"

Alicia smirked and took the round thing before depositing it in her satchel.

: "I'll be sure to hold it close to my heart. Don't you worry."

Having wet her blade for the day, Alicia leaned back onto a tree and surveyed the party in a moment of rare relaxation. They were collecting quite the band of misfits. Having an actual crew was going to make sailing so much easier. The only downside that Aiesha was still fresh to sailing, Cetus was still lazy, and Baurus was going to be drunk once they got back into town. Ah well. Between her and Ethan, she was confident she could whip em into shape.
